Tom is right. The mods here are mostly very fair - in fact the mod that isn't always perfectly fair hasn't been involved with any of your punishments. The entire forum was warned, if you can't take note of that, that's your problem friend.

come on man this is like the 5th time I've pointed this out This was far too complicated. I'm repealing it. We're going back to basics. Ironing out details now. In the meantime, be on your best behavior or the staff will be muting you.
We are not strict at all. Painting us staff as these evil bad guys makes us more likely to be like that towards you, because we're humans who give up our free time to moderate this place. You'd do well to remember that.

Please don't double post, especially when both posts are kinda off topic. Edited your posts into one.

Easy to tell you've been lurking. Pretty good bots for the first showcased, so nice job.
A few quick tips from me, try using multi-extenders instead of baseplate anchors - they're a lot smaller and weigh less, while having even more functionality. You also may want to try removing the wedges from your VS (and maybe also the extra discs on the side), and you could probably improve your plows or weaponry with the extra weight. Issue is with wedges on a VS is if anything gets under your wedge, you won't be able to hit them. No wedge, no problem. They'll always go under, but you'll always hit them. That plow support setup lends itself very well to this method, and upgrading them to the heavy ones will really benefit your durability. Taking the other discs off on the other hand will make your weapon spin faster due to less weight - always a plus. Perhaps consider ways you could shrink your chassis and use 2 perm132's instead of 1 dual e-tek for some really awesome dual-vs power. Good luck!

i absolutely love the commentary in these
It was an afterthought, but I'll probably do the same thing in HFT5 just for sh**s 'n' gigs.
It was fun. ...on a side note the infamous bombshell match isn't up yet is it? Hahaha

Projectiles are nothing to worry about considering the propulsion restrictions and also the fact they can't be too powerful for the lexan. Maybe one or 2 bots will use them but not a lot I'd imagine.

Nothing in particular. Just cool stuff all round. The new RA2 league thing originated there among other things.

I feel like the commentary auditions should be done on a match youve never seen before.

I think we should ditch the draft format/idea should be Each user who wants in owns a team of a LW, a MW, and a HW. Part of the point is that users will be dependent on each other, as far as I can tell.

From the volunteers so far I'd say Badnik or RedAce have the best knowledge of RA2 in general for the play-by-play commentator.

all aboard the ironforge train
choo choo Also IRL doesn't lend itself well to competitive building as by nature whether a bot is IRL or not is subjective, and a lot of IRL builders aim more for good looks (myself included) than stretching the rules and making it 'efficient'. Standard has a completely clear-cut set of rules. IRL can fall within those rules, but you will be dismantled.

Ironforge really needs some more weapon choices!
Nah. I don't think you quite got the point of Ironforge. It's hyper balanced and there is 1 component for every sort of use. I wrote up a small tutorial which I need to build on really here. It's more the Stock way of doing things rather than DSL's floods of components. Razors or Beaters would be best here I think.

Check out Reforged. Community AI for Ironforge put together by RedAce, recreating the stock teams in Ironforge (efficiently, of course).

Batteries are all balanced. Use what you need to get the required amps.

Ironforge doesn't really have a meta because there's probably been a maximum of 2 or 3 competitive tournaments in it.
