This looks amazing, but just seeing the size of the .zip file as my computer is struggling to download it makes me fear that i blast away my entire free space on my hard drive when i'll try to unzip it
If you can't spare 4GB, you need an external hard drive :P

I wish I could have played this when it initially released and now but can't due to work. I'm definitely playing this as soon as I get back.

Now here's a challenge for the forum once the release is upon us how about we attempt to raises its awareness by making it trend on Twitter
Haha, this guy... Seriously, I'm pretty sure this would be an impossible feat, unless we did get NerdCubed to play the mod and share a hashtag along with the video but I find that a tough feat.

Countdown Signal lost. Transmission will resume in 8 hours.
What exactly does this mean been trying to work it out lol or doesnt it mean anything ?
I'm assuming, because he did it near enough bang on 4PM, it'll be released midnight. Or, midnight tomorrow, if he decides to do a '1' poster at midnight and then release it exactly 24 hours later.

This is very likely the game that I have been waiting for since I was 10.
Pretty much the same for me. I can't exactly remember how old I was when I first saw robot wars but, since I first saw it, I have always wanted a good robot combat game that could capture the true feel of Robot Wars and the games officially released never really portrayed what it was really like and having poor physics. I'm not saying RA2 has fantastic physics, but at least flippers work correctly and crushers are okay. Since then, I have loved RA2 because it was all I wanted in a Robot Wars game and now that there is going to be a huge Robot Wars mod pack for it, I am really excited :)

When making any robot, you need to aim for the weight limit. You are shamefully underweight. Always think about design, too. That saw in the middle is not doing any damage and I'm not sure if the saws on the side are any better because of the way the chassis is designed. It seems you made the chassis that way to shave off weight and make less empty space, though, so it's good you were listening to madman (or you disregarded it and went for a cool chassis.) I'd take a thorough look through tutorials on the forum if you really want to make a good and efficient robot. Here's a good place to start off: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

I didn't know if you wanted it to be one match or a best of 3 and how long the matches went on for, so I assumed it was just standard for most challenges (3 mins and best of 3.)

Received both bots. I'll do the match as soon as I'm home.

Oh and I like Lemon's idea with the multiple home arenas. It would give this some flavor.
Would this mean a different arena for each team or different skin of the current arena for each team? I'm assuming the latter, unless we get the pick of already made arenas. Nevertheless, I also like this idea.

Presenting the RA2 League Arena (If anyone can think of a snazzier name that would be grand)
You could name it after your favourite football team's stadium or a robot pun name based on an existing stadium.

edit- also kos is back...?
I was talking with him over team speak and I mentioned this was in signups. If it weren't for me, he'd be playing Osu instead of entering. Well, he would have probably still entered but much later.

Try to learn :) there's a whole load of guides, and it's a lot more rewarding than getting someone to do it for you.
...Plus this says 'Help with AIing' not 'AI for me'
^ This. If you learn how to AI for yourself, you won't need to keep asking. Applies to a lot of things in life.

I'm sure someone will be generous enough to do the AI for you but try to provide the line you have already and we can tell you what you have done wrong and help you improve. You can't expect people to always be generous enough to do the stuff you can't be arsed to do.

Wow, that was really close. I really think #5 deserved it, though. So, congrats to whoever that is!

I was going to vote 1 but then they misspelled "apocalypse". remember to check your spelling, kids.
voted for 5 instead
Don't be such a scrotum. It's Bot Of The Month, not Splash Of The Month.
But the splash definitely plays a part. You want the front page of GTM to look good, right? #1 - I'm liking this one a lot due to the skin work and the overall look but the splash is a bit off-putting to me because I feel he could have used the magic wand/rubber tool a bit better and should have spell checked his splash before finalising it. Like I said, I know it's 'Bot' of the Month but that doesn't mean the deciding factor between two good bots can't be the splash. #2 - 'Recommended' but you can't even see the words that well, anyway. Kind of an eye-hurting splash. The bot looks good but not the most intricate/impressive design here. #3 - Not much to say. The splash looks nice, albeit the robot shots are a tad small, imo. I think having one larger shot would look better. The bot doesn't look too outstanding to be bot of the month, though. #4 - I don't know what to say. Not because it's bad, because I can't really pick fault with it but, like RedAce said, it's not amazing. #5 - The other contending bot here. I think the ratio of work put into the robot to work put into splash was 40/60 with this whilst it was 60/40 with the first one. This one is good because the splash is brilliant, imo. I can see the work put into to the splash and the robot, they look really nice. It's between 1 and 5 for me, like most people. Like Craaig, I need more time to think about it.
