what does one have to achieve to become an advanced user ? its not a request just a query I have had for some time .. is there a particular thing you have to accomplish or is it just when and Admin feels its right?

that's looks pretty cool Craaig.. if you wanted to do the series 4 version you just have to scatter a pile of components across the arena :P

does anyone know where to get the antiballast that was made for clash cubes

its intention was to help out competitors but no problems :-D just as long as people dont give it out for there own tournaments im fine with people using them.

on the Urjak v Reier match the match was to be called a draw (both bots were pitted) and in that event goes to points but as Urjak would win either way I didn't bother making those edits in the video (slow upload speeds and all that) but I did specify this earlier on in the topic

Contests / Vote for BOTM Aug 2009
« on: July 28, 2009, 03:04:27 AM »
1 - fairly descent bot but artwork is something I admire on both bots and splashes and this appears a quick job.

2 - stock ?? and and a quick splash with not a whole lot of effort but like it has been said good to see new builders jumping in.

3 - nice, clean and well built looks really nice.. if i was nit picking I could say not a very wide palette but it looks to nice to criticize.

4 - nice clean splash good liking bot .. but I dont know.. BOTM is usually more complex bots this just looks a little simple.. but the 180 degrees of defense is a pretty cool idea.

5 - well I <3 servos at the moment so what this bot lacks in combat effectiveness make up in coolness.

real tough call but given my love of servos I think I will vote for #5

I think monster cube wold have been better using the bigger lego wheels.. you should also try something a little more complex an have the parts attached like Reiers models

I used serges compiler for the Battlebox

so its not much good ? it was for a tournament I have planned.. would it be easier to do away with the wall all together as it has the spike stripes which act as really small walls ?

that looks really good but it maybe could do with being flatter and maybe a bit more wedgey

I think Mace 2 could have a wedge.. dont worry about the bottom sloping upwards just make the regular type of wedge and try a vlad spike for the flipper might get a closer look

yeah I know that's why I said it would be cool, but for something like this a movement system would need to be worked out after all it would be a pain to have each person select were they wanted to move

Joe: Did you get the walls how you wanted them? I can look at them quickly, if you still need some help.

I read through ducks tutorial and was all set to do it but there was no arena walls or collision in *GEOMOBJECT so it kind of stupped me ??? if you could help me out that would be great

the rankings are now updated after round 3 of the winners bracket.. the bracket hasn't been updated so there is still a chance to watch spoiler free until the next round of the losers bracket is up
