Hi there, I'll move this thread to Installation Support as you won't be able to post here after a few posts. What mods are you trying to download? Unless it's a special AI pack or component pack, you should be able to download DSL, Ironforge or the Robot Wars mod without too much difficulty, just downloading a single file and extracting it from the ready-to-go package. I fail to see tons of duplicates or random parts - there is a single part for every occasion, and this is especially evident with weapons. This is a good thing. No confusion about what to use. Unless by duplicates you mean 'different sizes of things' then I have zero idea where you're coming from.

Over time people making these mods haven't really put any effort towards how they appear in game. which was the main focus when I did ubermod (increasing component count and consolidating components into as few menu options as possible)
The descriptions have been full of nonsense forever, it's pretty much a crap shoot.
haha. have you even played ironforge? there's hardly "no effort" in it. It's probably the most balanced mod in RA2 history.
Absolutely this, I'd recommend playing it and seeing for yourself TDS.

if there isn't any enthusiasm when making it it would more or less become a chore? You got it. There's every chance there will be additional stuff released in time but, officially, this is the end of the cycle. As mentioned, Mr AS will be putting out balance/component updates sporadically to help the building aspect but for replicas and arenas this will probably be the end. Thanks for the kind words though, we all appreciate it :)

I don't think everything we wanted to do will be done, but committing to it with the lack of enthusiasm most of the team has for it at the moment is just not right. I personally wouldn't want to make promises we don't deliver on because the support some of you have shown doesn't deserve that, so we're getting together what we have and a couple of extra bits as our final expansion. There will be a nice mix of retro bots, our friends robots, and a few house robots too, as well as the new studio arena you can see in that render. Not too bad of a parting gift, in my opinion :)

The fanboys of robots complaining are one of the reasons we're stopping development and I've never heard any of them sound as self entitled as you just did. Thank you to FOTEPX and Tommy who are showing genuine enthusiasm though, HB and I really appreciate that. Mr AS is indeed gonna continue to iron out the components and their balance after we're done, that's basically gonna be GTM exclusive updates so count yourselves lucky
