They're back! Slem and Slam have been fused into one single robot, and although its not my best panelwork w/ some noticeable rough edges and the skinning was prolly the least enjoyable skinning work I've done on a robot, I think I've captured how Ram's horn was broken off while Rem's wasn't better in the design features of this new version than in the cluster versions, w/ the Slem side's weapon having one sharp point rather than being a sledgehammer while the Slam side's isn't one point, and the trapping horns at the top of the wedge which the cluster never had, the one on the Slam side is made to look like its been broken off. Its not 100% what I went for since I had to really penny pinch for weight to get it under 800kg w/ the front drive being dropped from dual mags to single, the bursts being reduced from short to extra short and the weapon heads going from a heavy spike and a meat tenderiser to small teeth. Prolly gonna at some point down the line see if I can make the panelwork abit more weight efficient and maybe cleaner but for now I'll consider it a finished build.

penultimate ep of SSB up next, w/ not one but two heat of wotw, as the rammers only got 2 entries, Super 8 and Swervedriver, who'll contest heat D, while we have 4 robots fighting in heat E where we have everything else; Krummlauf, Fast Box, Smilodon and Writhing

in ep 15 we have the axes and hammers fighting in wotw, w/ a title defence sorta happening as Bullbot is here after winning wotw back in 2021, w/ the challengers looking to knock it off its throne early being Friend Request, Citronella and Emilia

ep 12 will be the penultimate event of SSB; a CW gauntlet w/ a house robot waiting to fight the winner - the bushido boss! Okinawa Sunrise and Wellerman kick things off in round 1, then the winner will fight Tokyo's Wrath in round 2, followed by Tanzanite in r3, then Cowbot hoping to finally get its first SS win after failing to do so in each of the last two seasons in r4, the winner of the gauntlet will then fight Rising Sun in the boss battle!

First new LW in 3.5yrs here. I've had an idea for ninja stars as a vert for months, and here's what came out of that, a robot themed after a robot, Lumina! I had the idea for the overall design, then thought afterwards "that's kinda like Electric Boogaloo!, which it is tbh. Not really sure rn how I feel about the antenna being yellow, but overall I think its a pretty robot, the wedge I initially had flat sides on but switched to wedge corners to save weight so that I had weight for the bars which I've skinned the eyes onto and decent chassis armour. The eyes are also the first bit of skinning on a robot that I used my drawing tablet for!

ep 6 sees us finish samurai elite as a whole w/ heat B of the HWs, where Ulipse tries to take down two champs at once as it fights Rosethorn and Shock Factor, before an all runners-up rumble of HNT, Yalini and Zmiulan, one of these six will fight heat A winner in the final at the end

in ep 5 we're moving onto the last of the samurai elite events, the HWs, where Sour Note, Speed Demon and Scrapper do battle before Claymore and Sugar Kicks cross paths again having faced off in ep 1 of SS1, while Wildcat is also in the arena

W/ another LORD new blood coming up, I decided now was the time I'd build my next planned HW. Here's 24, a vert that uses T-Minus flippers as weapon supports, which is smth I've been wanting to try out, and this is also the first asym spinner I've built. I was also thinking trying an Overkill wedge as an experiment w/ the ground game, but very early on ditched that idea as I quickly realised there was no way I'd be fitting that in the weight limit, as I barely fit this in and had to change the weapon motor from a perm 132 to an etek, and the front motors from npc fasts to single mags, I also switched up an extender setup that I used 4 times in the panelwork, which alone was a weight save of 21kg. This is the start of me factoring in more than just what weightclass I'm building when it comes to how much drive power I give a robot, since I had to do that so I could do stuff like overvolt the weapon and upgrade materials on the front. Noa's in love w/ Saki.
