I’d recommend using a bar instead of a flywheel, tbh. It might not look as good, but flywheels tend to get sideswiped a lot easier.
If it works as he wants it to in terms of effectiveness and aesthetics then he won't rly have a reason to want to change it.

Wow, we're almost about halfway full on Main Entrants, and at least 1/4 filled on the LW Side Event.  Make sure I haven't missed your bot, because I've gotten quite a bit again, it's a bit tricky to keep track of it lol.   :dumb)
Guess I'd better get to AIing my CW and building and AIing a LW.

y'all really don't want something like big oops or gandora/slapshot with more power
Well, considering their ability to yeet bots over the high wall in the RW reboot arena, that sounds like it'd be a big oops to let them have more power.  However, a soft limit may be better than the current hard limit.

20 days left til deadline, so I'd better get to AIing and submitting my remaining entries.

so, with the general lack of interest from the GTM side of things and RACCOON rules confusing me more and more every time i see a china robot sent my way to the point where i was genuinly wondering what they actually considered bannable, i'm considering doing the following;

-rebooting this thing entirely, still with the RACCOON mod, but with more "GTM-friendly" rules, in the hope that GTM builders actually start entering and this doesn't become just "RACCOON 5 but it's on GTM because yes"

anyone having any objections to this ?
What rule changes do you have in mind?

Would different build styles have their own tournaments?

Thought I'd give DSL-S another chance and I'd say I did an alright job at building this without CF, also I do need to fix the wedge design.

Now that I've got my OW4 bots out of the way, time for me to focus on this.  One of the bots I'm building for it is gonna be quite unique.

Made some finishing touches to my planned lock-in bot today, tested it, works well.  Will submit for the show tomorrow.

After reading the rules again, it seems I'll have to change my horizontal crusher which I started building today into a horizontal biter.

So the way the Typhoons are used in this bot are legal?
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Would I need to switch out the top armour at the sides of the flipper for panels for it to be legal?
Surely you could use triangle armour plates instead?

I'll have a look to see which works better.

Is there a rule as to how many Typhoons can be used on flippers and as parts of aesthetic features?
T...Typhoons on FLIPPERS?

I mean...no limit with either of those, just don't go overboard I guess. It's a case by case thing really.
