I don't know the first thing about modifying a computer. My laptop's about three years old, I bought it from Comet, and it's done me very nicely. Apart from when the hard drive failed.

It's hard to find laptop parts so I built a huge overpowered-for-my-needs computer for a little over 100 $ (It's easy to get computer parts when you're 11)

My first... 3 computers were bought; first one in '05, second in '06, and the third in '07.

I finally plunked down the money to build my own back in August '09. I hope to build my next computer sometime in the next 12 months for about $800-1000.
