A lot of old games don't run on Win7. I'm not sure about the RW games, though. And Windows 8 is cancer on a screen.

Also, if you have 3GB of RAM or less, 32-bit is faster.

RW games runs on Win7 with compatible mode.
I am thinking on upgrading RAM to 4GB of ram.
(Windows says that i only have 3GB of ram)

If you have XP:
Keep it. Seriously. You'll thank us later.

If you don't have XP:
Get W7 32-bit.

The number of ram matters less than the quality of ram.  You only need 4GB for most things since they are still using 32-bit, but make sure they are all DDR3.

And yes, no reason to upgrade beyond XP unless you really want to run a program that doesn't run on it.  In that case use window 7.

Bullsh**, 8 gigs will always be better for gaming than 4 (Unless by quality you mean DDR3 vs DDR2)

As far as I know, DDR2 stopped being used around the Bronze Age.

No, Gateway, E-Machine, and other cheap ass brand still uses them.

The point is, don't just plug random rams in from *an old machine* unless you know they are DDR3.

And 8 gb always better than 4 gb is bullsh**.  Most games still run on 32 bits so they can't use more than 4 gigs.  How many games do you have that isn't install to Program Files (x86) by default and cannot run with 4gig ram?  The money is better spend on getting a good video card if you gonna *pay* for something.
