Oh god no you do not want that. Both of them may be well-respected for building ability, but they are two of the biggest assholes on the forum. Both wakkydude and Sparkey have felt their wrath when they returned for a short time, and it ended with Wakky giving up on building for the most part and Sparkey getting even angrier. Honestly, if they did come back and saw your awful advice then you would feel their wrath too.

Sounds like they actually care enough to give proper advice.

Maybe we need someone like that on DSL.

I have two questions related to gravity here and I wan't your opinion on them.

Question 1.
What would gravity be like on a planet shaped like a cube?

a) "Spherical Gravity"? At the center of the planet there is the point where all the directions go into one, the directions go out in equal lengths making a sphere. Thus the gravity would mean the closer you get to the edge of a face it would become more of an incline.
OR
b) "Cubed Gravity"? Simply each face has it's own gravitational pull and you'd just make a 90 degree turn if you walk off the edge.

Question 2.
What would gravity be like on a planet shaped like a taurus? (Bagel shaped.)

a) "Spherical Gravity"? In the middle of the hole there is the point where all the directions meet, meaning you'd have to stay on the very edge of the bagel to stay up.
OR
b) "Ring Gravity"? Because it is a bagel shape it has no edges. A line of gravity goes around the inside of the ring meaning you can walk through the hole and stay on the planet.

Subquestion - Would there be atmosphere in the hole or just space?

First is A, you will feel like walking uphill, then downhill after you cross the edge.  Think of mountains as miniature cube.

That is why planets are round in the first place, it's own gravity keeps it that way.

Bagel would be very odd indeed.  The shape would result in pulls from multiple directions, so you end up with different effect as you walk toward the center.
The center of the bagel should exist a hover point where it is being pulled by all 4 sides equally.  Not exactly A or B.

Instead of thinking as 1 bagel, think of it as 2 objects being drawn to each other, say the earth and the moon.  Since the moon is so much smaller than the earth, we don't notice it much, but the effect is shown through tides.

Gonna change that law anyways. Since I cannot mod posts on playground, I guess you people can use false admin redtext on playground (since there cannot be any possible confusion with actual mod-editing in playground) ... however, since I can mod everywhere else, I would appreciate if you guys would avoid false admin redtext jokes ANYWHERE else.
