I do that a lot. I always remember really wierd details, like a purple manhole cover with "16" written on it in gold, or a rug held down with an iron, a kettle, and a "weight".

Samsung Galaxy Mini. Out of the ones at the Tesco Mobile bit it was the only good one. Wanted to get it in white but they were out of stock for white.

I hate smartphones. I hate the idea of something that does everything. Plus I can't help feeling touchscreens are ridiculously flimsy. I'm happy with my Sony Ericsson K130-brick, thank you very much.

That's another thing I hate about smartphones, is how quickly they become obsolete. As long as it phones and texts, I don't particularly care. A camera is useful, but that's about it.
