Playing games that are almost uniformly designed for console gaming generally has that effect. I mean, MW3 is probably the best example. Lets face it; most shooters are for console gaming, and unfortunately the ports to PC can suck hard.

I've avoided BF3 because of the whole Origin thing EA's been sticking on to games.

It's mainly the spawn system, which isn't much to do with consoles. I'd say that I die within 10 seconds of spawning about 1/3rd of the time. Everyone and their dog hates on CoD's spawn systems, but this is the worst I've encountered. And because nobody I know plays battlefield PC, I can't go in a squad.
