UPDATE:

Just realised I can walk off my own steam now - just 15 hours after the operation! But it's very difficult to get up when they've cut your abdominal muscles to get up =P

I went to my GP before I knew there was anything wrong and he said it was a bit of a grey area, it could be appendicitis or it could just be regular abdominal pain. I went home and there was trouble. I was doubling over in pain and we had to get to the hospital pretty soon.

I'm glad we went to the Peterborugh City hospital  though - it's been open for business for just over a year now and the facilities are great! The hospital food isn't stereotypically bad, there is a 'Den' with a comfy sofa, the Computer I'm using ATM, a Wii and a PS3 which I helped the staff to set up 

All the hospital staff are really nice here and they treat you as real people. What i found was pretty funny was that because I'm 13, built well (just over ten stone) and 5 foot 9, they needed an adult portion of drugs to knock me out for the surgery =D

Thankfully my appendix (which is out now) was only inflamed and not pussy at all, which means I can recover a little bit quicker, but even so, it'll be well after Christmas before I can start playing football again D:

Thanks for all of your support guys - I really appreciate it and you wouldn't believe how much it makes me feel better =D. It should be one more night before I can get out and back home, but Chicken Tikka Masala is on the menu for tonight so I'm not complaining
