Sig rotators seem fine to me, but the disadvantage is that you can't have links in them. Rotating avatars were just confusing as hell, so there's definitely a plus now they're goin. Much easier to figure out who's typing what.

I'd be inclined to agree. They're not too dissimilar to cause any degree of confusion, in my view. Although that might set a bit of a bad precedent for other members.
