Today, I've been mostly sorting out my Rent, and come 7 O'clock, will be going to my first Taekwondo class.

That's really only a summary of FPSs. With fighting games (Street Fighter especially) it's people who spam the same move (yes, I know that if I am actually good then I could get around it, but I still have the right to be pissed off about it). But then Co-op online with people you know is great fun. But online is not the be all and end all. Original Tetris doesn't have online... hell, nothing before the Dreamcast has online...and even some of the stuff after. Admittedly, a console without online capabilities brought out nowadays would probably be shunned by some people.

I online'd on Blade of Fate and THRASHED my opponent several times (they kept using Byakuya so I ate them with Zabimaru >.>) and then they had the nerve to complain that I was cheating

I did say probably, the likelihood is that some people (myself included) would buy it because 'shiny new toy' others would wait for games, if anything tickled their fancy, they would buy it, and some people would shun it due to the lack of online functionality.

People complain that other people cheat when they lose. Me, if I notice somebody using the same move constantly, I will be pissed off when I lose, if I see somebody jump in and do an awesome combo, I will applaud them (literally as well, even though they won't hear it). Something tells me that if I switch to Pro on SSFIV3D then I will get better players, rather than the ones who play Guile and then spam Flash Kick L and Sonic Boom L via touch screen controls. Although spamming them back is rather satisfying, if only to see them ragequit, sometimes even mid-game. So, were you spamming the exact same move (or couple of moves), or did you combo (that was the main reason I quoted, I just tangented)? I remember playing Blade of Fate, I was pretty good with Byakuya actually.

@Scourge's ninja post: I didn't, mostly because I have been too busy doing an application form and getting sidetracked to look into stuff like that. As it goes, what is Spirit Day?

Nope, it's to do with supporting LGBT youth. I plan to draw a picture relating to it, though I doubt I'll be finished on time

My favourite character to play as online is Soi Fon. Homonka the enemy twice and they die 8D
Yoruichi's also good to play, because of Blue Ability D

I can do both, strangely. Takes a while to learn the super-awesome-mega-combos, but it's worth it in the end, I reckon.

Button Mashing =/= Move Spamming (in most contexts)

Hitting random buttons in the hope that something will happen

and

Using the same move (generally an easy to input special move such as Hadouken and Shoryuken) constantly, with very little (if any) variation.

Spamming can take a bit of effort, Button Mashing doesn't always work, and mega-combos only work if the opponent can't just break you out of it (See: Seth's/Zangief's Spinning Piledriver). I can do a few mega-combos actually, and am working on finding more.

I prefer Mortal Kombat

I liked playing as Raiden on Mortal Kombat, did quite well too, only really lost when being too defensive against certain characters, too reckless against others, and failing inputs when I was starting out. I almost beat my friend because he kept trying to use Scorpion's pulling move throw followup, and I kept countering it (this was on the latest game in a little end of year college tourney, I was unlucky enough to be put against the best person in the class...).
