I like Pong because, like Space Invaders, it proves my theory that, if you were to strip the graphics and storyline from a game, a good game would still be good to play

Call of Duty 4 did it right for the most part. The only thing that was wrong with it was the addition of the Juggernaut perk.

It's important to the history of gaming, but I doubt anyone in this day in age would prefer it over modern games.

After his ban was extended, he messaged me on steam again and threatened to evade the ban by changing his IP, and also made an empty threat to send anthrax poison to my family's home. Obviously he was bluffing, but this speaks wonders regarding his maturity level and quite frankly I am done putting up with it.

This. I've told you this a few times, and it would make you come across as a bit more open-minded.

Also this. It's mostly why I prefer Spyro 3 (PsOne) to Halo (Xbox 360). I once got talked into playing Halo while I was at uni, and it was run around, shoot stuff, occasionally throw a grenade, repeat. Spyro has an almost endless free-roaming environment, plus there's a great amount of comedy in there, a huge amount of replay value, and it has a great learning curve, from the simple "Egg on a ledge" to the few extremely hard eggs that you need to find for game completion.

I stopped playing counter-strike after i was when a faze as a wee lad of playing all these online shooters from 2001-2002 (when they were REALLY popular) Those were the days, I kept remembering how it took 10 minutes to refresh the server list on Quake III with my old ass 56k modem. xP

The only game I'm excited for, is Doom 4.
...that and possibly HL episode 3.

Nothing wrong with that- it's just that with the tone (and lack of "I think" or something similar), it's passing off opinion as fact, somewhat.

I only ever play Call of Duty when my senses are completely dead, or my brain is trying to eat itself. The exception to this rule is when I am playing multiplayer with my dad on Zombies.

Retro games are epic, people may complain that they are simplistic and have bad graphics, but so what, a simple thing can still be awesome, and graphics =/= gameplay. I played a Vectrex at Eurogamer and thoroughly enjoyed it (Scramble and Minefield were the two games they were showing). I then proceeded to play Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie, along with many other games that I stored somewhere in my mind (Including Tetris on the Game Boy Pocket). When I got home, I played Space Invaders and Tetris until I fell asleep.

But of course, there are some people who dislike them for lack of graphics, or whatever, and even though it makes me die a little inside, it is fine that they dislike classics. The thing with old games is that they have the power to make you unconditionally happy if you have happy thoughts of when you were playing them (with me, that would be Banjo-Kazooie and SM64, along with many more N64 games).
