I realise that NFX has fallen on hard times with his Uni grades, but I seriously doubt that cutting him off from his girlfriend is going to have any positives, particularly considering that she too had fallen on hard times, and had attempted suicide recently.
As of now, you could say that the two need each other more than ever, considering the emotional support they, and the rest of GTM in turn, provide to them. There must be another, more logical and reasonable solution to the issue, so I would suggest discussing what has happened recently, and possible means of making amends, sorting out the grades, and hopefully bringing everyone's lives back on track.
Although this indeed coming from a lowly GTMer, it is a means to an end that I would seriously consider- NFX is a cool guy, and does not deserve another issue on top of the ones he is already facing. Please take this into consideration.

If your mom made you split up with your girlfriend, she would probably try to hang herself again. Sorry to lower the mood, but it is most likely true.

Take easy classes and work your way back up. I remember one semester where I not only juggled 4 high-level classes, but was also living on campus for the first time. I fell swift and hard. But I got back on my feet after I spent the next semester taking low-level classes. I don't know if your uni is the kind that gives you hte opportunity to take electives, but if so, maybe spend some of those elective hours retaking the classes to improve your grades.

If she would really hang herself over that then she needs to get help. It is not ok to threaten people with suicide.

You have no idea of the rage that this comment induces on me. His girlfriend attempted suicide after just 4 days without him, and now his mother wants them to split up, and all you can do is make some smart, sarcastic comment? Well I guess I do have to apologize. I understand NFX is having a very bad time in his life (we all have so I can understand) and I do hope for the very best of his girlfriend. Really the only reason I said that was just to joke around and bring humor into the situation even though I have to admit it was completely unnecessary. I'm just kind of a smartass and sometimes I say dumb things for the sake of trolling which I've tried controlling as of late, but sometimes I still slip up and say something dumb things without thinking it through.

In other words I'm uploading a new dubstep track later tonight, so stay tuned
