Anyone watched Eurovision last night...?
It was on last night? Hm. Still, I wouldn't have watched it anyway- it's all politically based rather than deciding on the actual talent.

Correct. And it was only the Semi-Final last night, wasn't it?

But Britain has a tendency to come last. Even when we enter something good, such as Andy Abraham a few years ago, we still got screwed over.
Quoted for truth. Noone likes us, yet they're all too happy to take our money- makes me wonder why we're part of the European Union if that's how they all feel, sometimes.
The EU would be alright if it was fair. However, for some inexplicable reason, Spain gets about 5 times as much subsidies as we do. It works like this:

Cornish fisherman pays taxes.
Taxes go to Brussels.
Brussels give tax to Spanish fisherman as subsidies.
Spanish fisherman fishes off the coast of Cornwall.
Cornish fisherman goes out of business.

A little like FIFA, really- almost as if they want us to pay for once being a World power.

Or they saw footage of East London on a Saturday night, and went "ARGH! The world cup's going THERE?!"

And even still, it's a better proposition than some Birmingham-sized fleapit in the Middle East with uncomfortably high temperatures in summer, no Stadiums, no Alcohol, and no Womens' rights.

I will admit, I do approve of the no Alcohol laws. Would save this country a LOT of money and manpower if they didn't have to scoop up various drunken idiots off of the pavement every night.

At the same time however, the sale of alcohol to responsible people does provide a lot of business and profit, for both the producers and sellers, in turn adding to the economy. It's mainly the drunken idiots who can't control themselves who are the problem.

I'll admit that it does turn a reasonable profit, but what's wrong with leaving the drunks to their own devices? We shouldn't have to spend our resources chasing up after THEIR idiocy. If they break their ankle trying to walk home in high heels after 12 litres of Bacardi, that's their own fault. Don't drink so much next time.

Very obsessive about following old beliefs over there, you see- you'd think that gender segregation would have no place in modern society though, wouldn't you?

Indeed. Yet, it makes you wonder why certain genders are considered inferior in certain places- other than certain things, they're still basically the same species. In fact, you could say-

True, but women are slaves apparently
This is something I try to put forward with the way Umino thinks

To the misguided, maybe. But to a modern society, we're all united as a common species, regardless of little things like gender or race  :D

This is another one I address using Umino (though more Origine (past Umino).

I like addressing things :3

I address a lot of issues in H&F - discrimination of all kinds, rights, government, technology - you name it, it's probably in there.
