The original from 1953. I saw how they made it, and it was so interesting.

The new one was okay, but the screaming Dakota Fanning was annoying (my brother loved her, and got a signed picture of her). There was one line I liked the most, though,

"LOOK AT THE GODD@MN BIRDS!"

Ah, that's good to hear.

Anyway, Dakota Fanning makes a total of zilch good decisions in that film, doing absolutely nothing but
screaming and being carried around. I mean, she's ten years old, you shouldn't even be
carrying her across the street, let alone to Pennsylvania (I think).
no bullsh** the part where the aliens came out of the ground was filmed about a block
down from where I lived. There is a big red building that falls down, I went to preschool there. It was cool to see them run by like all of the resturants and stores that I used to go to

Filming in your local area too, eh? I've had experience of that.

When "The Da Vinci Code" and "Young Victoria" were filmed, did you know that Lincoln Cathedral was used for the shots set in Westminster Abbey?  :D

I learned a lot of neat facts about the original movie-

-The machines were made of copper, and were melted down for a boy scout copper drive after the film's release.
-The martian nearly fell over after it left the camera.
-In the scene where the meteor flies past a large tree you can see a small figure of Woody Woodpecker (George Pal was a good friend of Walter Lantz and put Woody in all of his movies).
-Pal also made a stop motion film similar to War of the Worlds called "Tulips Shall Grow", which had antagonists called the Screwballs, made to represent the Nazis (on the left).

-Ray Harryhausen made a short stop motion clip that he wanted to use for the film, but couldn't (Pal got the rights first).

Lucky. Why did you get the day off?

I had 3 tests in one day!

I've been working 6am to 8pm for most of the week. My second job had a bunch of new work that had to be done by the end of March and the final week was just crazy.  :P

But, got it all done and now I can chill out for a while.

On the PC, not a great deal actually. Worms Armageddon, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, and occasionally, my old copy of RW: Extreme Destruction. Not that much of a PC gamer, you see.

I had a urge to rate you down again; But I'm not gonna do it.

I don't get why it bothers you so much...its really sorta redundant and pointless, since the only thing I don't like about you is complaining about rep, and that makes me rate ya down, and that makes you baww, and that makes me not like that your bawwing, so I rate you down, and that makes you baww, and that makes me not like that your bawwing, so I rate you down, and that makes you baww, and that makes me not like that your bawwing, so I rate you down, and that makes you baww, and that makes me not like that your bawwing, so I rate you down, and that makes you baww, and that makes me not like that your bawwing, so I rate you down, and that makes you baww,

Do we get the point?
