Personally I'm from Alsace (and am ready for any stupid stereotypes you can throw at me), and probably have an alsatian (not the dog :P) accent, but I've been asked if I was from Luxembourg sometimes.

No worries about it. Most of the time, you just drive straight into Scotland, all the while taking care not to be fangoriously devoured by midges.

Admittedly, when I went earlier this year, I didn't see it. I must've taken a different route. The midges were still there, though.

Quite close to the border, really. Mainly north of Northumberland, and close enough to Edinburgh for a day trip.

It's weird, despite how close I live to the scottish border I've only ever been there once.
