Saying your opinion's fine, provided we know it's your opinion. Natef had a similar problem recently, and I think you could circumvent it if you chose your wording slightly differently.

Hmph.

So this afternoon we had animal biology practical work. We were supposed to cut out the still beating heart of a chick embryo. But visibly none of the eggs had living embryoes inside.

Cue people (mostly girls) cuddling their eggs, saying "OMG IT'S SO CUTE" or "OMG MINE IS DEAD ! SO SAD!!!"

I personally voiced my unhappiness over being unable to rip off the still beating heart of a living thing. And got called "mean" for that. Sure it's not as badass as doing the same for someone you defeated in combat (atop a mountain of corpses for extra Bad Ass points), but well.

I am frustrated, cause I had no embryo in my three opened eggs. And we finished one hour before the second part of the work.

Now I shall go back to school and dissect a sheep's heart. Too bad it's not beating, but it's quite a bit bigger than a chick embryo's.

Good hearts to have are the hearts on Turtles. They beat for about several hours after being removed from the body. Is interesting how it can work of its own accord and when taken away from the Brain =P
