You have? Good to see that I'm not the only one. If you do go again, I'd recommend checking out the Ice Cream parlour they have at the Bailgate (that's the area at the top of the hill, where the Cathedral and the Castle are)

It's actually not that bad- a little steeper than most streets you'll find yes, but it's very scenic, entirely possible to walk up it in under five minutes, and along the way, there's lots of very nice independent shops, pubs and tearooms to visit, as well as the Cathedral and Castle at the top

The gradient gradually increases as you ascend, but it averages out as one in seven. Which is less than 13 degrees. So not too bad.

Also, I hoped that Kris Meeke would been 3rd, but small driving mistake kept him on 4th place.

Also, I only went up Steep Hill because we were going somewhere on our history trip in year 7 (the Cathedral, the Motte and Bailey Castle etc.)
