what makes an AU an AU?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: There is no hard and fast way of becoming an AU. There are a multitude of ways you can become one, but the main thing is to be a helpful and productive member around the forums. But you don't really get any special perks just for being an AU, aside from the gold username and pool tables, so you should just enjoy your time here regardless. =) Build some awesome IRL bots.

I don't know why I was chosen to become an AU and I have no need to. It's just a colour, really...

I don't know why I was chosen to become an AU and I have no need to. It's just a colour, really...

The colour of orange though, which is one of the coolest colours.

TBH, the coloured usernames are trustworthy thing does bug me somewhat, simply just because most of the time when it is said (i've seen some cases where it's worded better to be fair) it makes it sound like everybody else doesn't know what they're talking about.

Not saying that's the intention or anything, but I just thought i'd bring it up.

It's not really the intention of that, but the trouble is that the regular members group also comprises people like Garvin, Hard Bot, Avalanche, Sparkles, people who - most of the time - don't know what they're talking about. Which is why I always make a point to mention that you learn who gives sound advice from experience more than anything else. But when you're just starting out, and you don't have that particular benefit, then the coloured username rule is a pretty easy - and generally accurate - one to follow for a newcomer, whilst they build up their knowledge of the other members.

Joe, If you're getting a PS3 get the Killzone 3 bundle. It has 160 GB PS3 and Killzone 3. You're getting a $60.00 game for free! Also you should play The inFAMOUS series. That game is awsomesauce

Your a sucker for marketing, you dont get anything free :P

That Bundle (or ones like it) cost at least $500 down here..

Where as a store down here sells Preowned PS3 consoles, refurbished with a 12 month warranty for only $200

so unless I can sell Killzone 3 for $300 Its not exactly the best option..

I plan to buy the inFamous series as with all Sucker Punch games for they are my favorite developer.. I just didnt mention that for the sake of making the offroad addiction joke in my post..

Or you could get a 360? halo is very good, and I prefer Forza 3 to GT 5, and Forza 4 is coming out soon.

And you get a slightly better online connection with XBL, even if it is a bit of a rip-off.
