do you repair computers?

I work on the computers that I have at home.  But, at work, I manage inventory/shipping/receiving.  I work for a worldwide electronics retailer that sells and services computers.

BUMP

So ? Gateway is my best bet ?

(I'm going to buy something real soon since my comp fails even moar)

I seek something with a decent graphics card, not less than 2Ghz processor, 1 or 2 MB RAM and that's pretty much everything. Don't need a beast, but don't want less than i have already.

If you're still wondering about Acers, I've had my Aspire 2920 Laptop for almost three years or so now, and aside from the hard drive losing magnetism a few months ago (they told me it was just being overused a little bit, and it was a good excuse to get Windows 7), everything still seems to be working fine. 2 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, graphics card seems fine to me, but if you want to upgrade it, then you probably could. Plastic skin seems slightly loose on one corner, but that's more or less just aesthetics, and the specs are pretty much good enough for what I tend to use it for. I can get around three or four applications going at once (IE8, Paint.NET, GP5, WMP, mostly) without any significant lag. And it should hold together provided that you look after it properly, carrying it around, storage and such.

Acers are pretty good laptops.

The best, in my opinion, are Toshibas.  They're a bit on the expensive side, though.

OK, i've bought on the internets a Toshiba Satellite L630-10r. Four years guaranteed at roughly 900 euros.

Should come soon (tomorrow or in 2 days) by mail :P

Yes, from what i see on the web Toshiba has a good reputation for quality computers.

4 GB of RAM is gonna help :P And i'm probably never going to fill the 500 GB's of HD XD

And i have something less sh**ty than an Intel GMA.
