Junkyard Wars
« on: May 08, 2013, 08:24:11 PM »
I loved watching this show back when I was a kid.  Does anyone else remember this show as well?

First episode I saw was the one below.  Also, see if you recognize the team in yellow.

Battlebots 7: LW Quarterfinals - Voltergeist
Battlebots 7: MW Quarterfinals - Dr. Demolition
Battlebots 8: MW Quarterfinals - Dr. Demolition
Battlebots 9: HW Quarterfinals - Texas Tornado
Battlebots 9: Middleweight Champion - Dr. Demolition
Minor Inconveniences: Runners-up - Hot Rod/Voltergeist
TGRR2 IRL: Texas Tornado 11 wins - 10 losses

Yea. My childhood was this. Robotica and Junkyard Wars. Back when TLC wasn't Cake Boss and Midgets.

EDIT- I don't recognize the yellow team. Battlebots?

Scrap Daddy team from Battlebots. Sad part is, I didn't need to watch the clip to know that.

It was a good show, but got really stupid for the last season or so.

haha I was gonna make a topic about this but I forgot

Uncle recorded some episodes for me and watched the heck out of them in like 1999 or so. Back when TLC had something not about midgets with lots of kids.

I think it's safe to say that TLC and History channel have both gone down the sh**ter.

They also had a toyline released with the show too.  I had the Scrap Daddies's Dragster and the Law Dawgs's Monster Truck.
