Agreed, itunes is very confusing.

It took me half an hour to put some of my files on my ipod, as It just didnt want to work.
iTunes is super easy to use.

I never experience problems related to iTunes but that doesn't mean I like it. Creative MediaSource Player has much better playlist options. Unfortunately, my iTouch works best with iTunes and I use the store too often to not have it installed.

Save your library and uninstall/reinstall iTunes. That could help. Also try turning off any features you don't use, such as AirTunes and Smart Playlists.

There is no way to brick an iDevice by jailbreaking it. You can always restore the software via iTunes.

what benefits it will give me?
Tons of apps that Apple won't allow on the App Store. Also, it's a philosophical thing for me - I bought something, I have every right to have full access to it, I don't want my devices to be crippled by DRM.
