Rant/explanation here:
I have just put £15 on my iTunes account, and it was more painful than having my toenails pulled out by a tractor. Honestly, after making a brilliant piece of tech such as the iPod Touch 4 or the iPhone, how could they go so badly wrong?
It freezes every time I start it up except when It starts up itself when I plug my iTouch in. I works great as a music play ect, but then i click 'iTunes Store'
Still not too bad. Then I click 'redeem' to get back that £15 from the iTunes card. This is where the pain begins.
I click, and it says it is loading. 30 seconds later it stops loading and I'm still on the iStore homepage. I repeat, with the same results. And again.
Finally I clicked it and left it alone, to have a game on CoD4. I come back and the redeem screen it up. I type in my code and try to hit the 'Redeem' button. It doesn't register. I try to press redeem for about 5 Min's, and finally, with a smoking mouse, it suddenly decides to stop being on strike and work. Fine.
Then I try to buy a simple song. Mistake. Doesn't even let me click 'Buy Now' :vista:
At this point I just quit, and buy it straight off my iPod. Perfect, quick and painless.
So, how do I speed up iTunes, and why is it so slow? My suspicion is that iTunes is purposely hideous on PC, with Apple making Macs and all. I'm on a perfectly capable Dell Vaio laptop with 3GB ram, an Intel Pentium Dual CPU (200GHz) and 224 GB of possible space on the HDD, with 127GB left to use.
