Realistic Arena

Hi guys, had some time to kill so I thought I'd make available the arena I use: Its a redress of the stock combat arena, made to look more realistic.

Extract to Arenas folder in your RA/DSL folder.


In game the arena appears in the menu under 'Battle Arena'


Try and see, hope it works, feedback welcome.

Since this arena seems mildly popular, I thought I'd update it.





I made the wood floor a bit better and improved the outer rim, while adding a logo.

The floor of the Combots arena isn't really wood, it just looks that way in that picture because of the lighting and angle.
 
You'd do better with a textured metal floor, maybe with tile divisions.  Though the wood floor does give it a kind of grungy, small "garage tournament" feel.

The arena floor at FI is wood.

Most of the small scale robot organisations have wood floor I'm pretty certain, also robot wars had a wood floor as well, at-least up until series 3.


I'd be interested to know how many people if any are using this? I'd love to get this up as a download for GTM.
