GRRRRRRR

Not only Martymidget's whole team makes my game crash, even when I just put them on my team folder, so i just removed his bots from the pack, but there are plenty of classic errors in the last teams which I cannot identify and I have no idea where do they come from. I even have a feeling the game won't accept more than 121 working teams. And I checked Teams.txt and Bindings.py many times, to no avail.

So the teams before Team122 (NFX's team - Team Captured) work, including it. From Team123 to Team132... probably not. Maybe some individual bots do though.

So i'll release a beta and wait for some feedback from you guys. Maybe you guys can find the errors, personally i've been working on that for four hours today and my patience is completely gone. I'll get into it again tomorrow.

Also, crap upload speed. Expect a rapidshare link in a bit more than one hour.

Note : This is playable, but roughly half of the new teams work AFAIK, so it can hardly be called a quality release. I know that. This is a beta What I am asking is constructive criticism, observations, errors you found, something like that. Something that helps. I need observations, not spam. If someone has the bad idea to go and hurl insults at me for the poor quality of that release, or post crap or start drama in this thread, he will be unable to post for a few days, though I am quite sure most of you are mature enough not to do it and am convinced none of you will do it.

You already downloaded it, checked it and saw the entirety of the new pack ? You're good.

Also, what I already know is that Macrocheires crashes the game. The python was hastily made and it doesn't work.

i had a quick run through of it, and it looks good. and i have a very fast DL speed

Could the problems be that there was more than one robot with the same name, and that was causing the problem? I'm not entirely certain what could be causing it, unless it's the sheer amount of bots involved. Quick question, though, is there any way to check which version of 2.3 I have? Just to be sure the 2.7 will work if I install it.

*sigh* obviously megaupload has been killed and the old v2.3 rapidshare link is dead. I'm gonna do this, yeah. Starting with components cause it is the most useful.

I'll put the different folders in different downloads so you can pick up what you want.

What ? Duplicata robot names ? Where ?

v2.7 will work on any version of DSL 2.1, but some (maybe 10%) bots use NAR AI components so they will not work.

Reuploading the components on my rapidshare account. My comp ragequitted when I tried watching a video, uploading the components and playing space empires V at the same time.

It'll be far quicker than the AI folde though.

Went through just the teams menu and found two "mistakes."

First off, team 106 is inside the folder of team 98, causing the game to crash when you try and select team 106 from the menu.

Second, team 121 has no bots in it. Whether or not this was a mistake I am not sure.

I also noticed you declined to replace the old FangY even though I sent you an updated version of Enturon. I understand if you would rather use a different replacement, but the regardless the old FangY should definitely be updated.

I will replace FangY by your new enturon, just I didn't do it for the beta, like I didn't replaced the old 741 by 742.

Team 121 is marty's faulty team, so it's normal. He sent me a working team so it'll be fixed soon.

I will fix team 106 and 98 ASAP. Edit : Done.
