Well, here's some copying from the DSL2 (Badnik's) LDAI thread.

Here is the thread for the first ever DSL IRL AI Pack, Live Designs AI. I am always accepting new teams for the pack.

Robots must be IRL Realistic and built in DSL. Cheatbot2 parts are allowed as long as they aren't abused (like say spamming Judge Gavels). I will determine whether robots are IRL or not. I will try to make a new release every so often, IE when I get a large amount of new teams, so new releases may be unexpected.


I do want some quality robots, noob building will not be tolerated.

Remember, read that before entering a team, if you don't know how to AI, read Starcore's guide, or if you're lazy, i'll AI them for you. Remember this, this is for DSL3 only, not DSL2.

We aren't expecting jack tweedy from him, he's building up expectations and then not meeting them. Just look at his Guardians of Exile tourney. He gave us the (very short-lived) impression that he was actually mature and ready to start a tourney when he clearly cannot AI and can barely even start one correctly.

He's doing what every newbie seems to want to do recently and starting a train-wreck waiting to happen. He doesn't need your pity.

I don't tolerate bullying, plus, I don't think, that the "un-finishing of something from a not already proven user" is that much of an "end of the world". It's your fold, that you belived and entered, no one forced you, so face the consequences of YOUR OWN choice.

You all wouldn't be better, if you were 11y old. One day Sylandro will become a useful part of the community, you know, and he will do good stuff, or not, if people are too hard with him and he leave... I find his posts and stuff pretty normal considering his age.

The problem is, that the community here looks too much in the past, and it's too aggressive (speaking from a personal experience...). Why everyone is mocking Sylandro, and no one actually offers help? Examples :

Send me the bots Sylandro, I want to finish your tournament.
The community is just too bad (mostly the DSL part, since it's full with kids), made of arrogant and unthankful people, example : when was the last time anyone +rep-ed or said "thanks" to Ianh for the making of his AI tutorial, which wants to help people like Sylandro?
Maybe I criticize, but at least I give advices and offer solutions usually... Example :
Sylandro, concentrate on one project only (this AI pack for example), this will increase the chances of finishing it. There are AI tutorials, read them. Change the name, if the people don't like it. You improved in the DSL building, so if you demonstrate a mature-ness and finish something to the end for once, the people will respect you more. Although, I have some doubts, that most people here respect anything at all, why you think I forced "thank you for the awesome stuff, ClickB", and even he followed it, but some people don't...

Before (2008-2009), the community was smaller, but the most people built both DSL and stock, and the problems was less (without even the control as it is now). Now (it's DSL vs stock with a bit of hate), sine "they" are a lot of people, some "newly registered unthankful disrespectful DSL kids mafia" dare to attack on groups an old world vets (and I don't mean ME or IANH, other people). So the problem is not in Sylandro IMO, it's that the forum is full with an un-quality homosapians material, this describes my opinion at general for the toady's youth. There is a reason why the most of the quality material here is made by an older persons (ClickB=maker of DSL3, for example), there are some exceptions, but still very rare...

And please, don't try to prove me wrong with just some respond-posts, but try to convince me with a "long term actions", that proves me wrong... Anything else will be pretty useless.

The problem is that every single time Sylandro has started a project he hasn't done it.

I helped him for the start of his tournament : no result.

Here he is not only starting another thing when he has like 4 or 5 unfinished things, but he is also taking material from Badnik which obviously doesn't want to. Not finishing one thing is fine... not finishing every single project you started is another thing.

In this thread, we're mostly blaming him for his past mistakes (which is arguably not constructive) or giving him advice that he should do better to listen to. No one is really bullying him. The Badnik/Sparkey/Kossokei three-post circlejerk looks a lot like bad posting, but no other.

Yes, he may be 11 but age is not a factor for being treated differently, the law here works the same for everyone, teenager or adult.

If he is starting things and never advancing, these threads are obviously pointless. So I do believe I will delete his future threads about making new ra2 material if this continues, and will only stop deleting threads if he proves he can finish a project.

Hint : Sylandro, if you can't make something, then don't start it. This will help you a lot on the forum since it's the main issue the community has with you.

Since positive reinforcement doesn't seem to work, someone has to get up and knock the sense into him. He's proved what, 2, 3 times now, that he can't finish something large for the life of him. Can't do a Fantasy tourney, can't do a BOTM-style tourney, can't do a real tourney, and all of those are a little easier than an AI pack.

Sylandro can be likable, believe it or not. I've talked to him on skype before, he's polite and non-annoying and etc, so it's not like I'm just bagging on him for being Sylandro. I'm just saying (with a bit of abrasion and attitude) that he should finish something that he's previously started to prove that he has the commitment to finish something else.

Do you realize, that maybe this was the reason why the people that came from that time are an excellent builders (stock and DSL)?

Why everyone is talking about Sylandro, he was just an occasion for my speech. My message was for the community. There was a bad-posting-mageddon lately (just for the last weeks Nar have 10 smitings now). After my huge post, a 2 NICE/NORMAL/CONSTRUCTIVE posts followed, can this be like, you know... like ALWAYS LIKE THIS?
