Been a couple years, some help wanted
« on: February 08, 2010, 01:30:09 PM »
Hey guys, it's been a couple of years since I've been playing RA2, let alone modding
there's this little problem I have, saved bots / teams / anything don't seem to appear in my RA2 folder, was there a trick to it or is Vista a bad guy to RA2 modding?
Thanks in advance

I'm still on XP but Robo ran into a problem like this with Win7... the stuff ended up in a Compatibility Folder of some sort. I'm not sure if Vista also has compatibility folders as well... Might want to just to a filesearch of one of the bot names and see where it ended up.

Thanks, but this was the first place I looked, the folder is there, but for instance, inside the 'teams' folder, only team0 (team rookie) is filled, and the only robot designs available are bot choy, forkie, atom smasher etc., despite multiple efforts to export a bot

Thanks for trying to help anyway. You're a better kid than most people think / make believe.

Huh, I Think it did not install corectly, like maybe the disk is scratched so files did not DL right, try re-installing and ripping the files off of the disk.

Thanks, BTW

When in the robot designs folder, look for "Compatibility Files" on the toolbar. They should be in there.

My savior. Thank you, a lot.

EDIT: I can't imagine I'm the only one that ever struggled with this, sticky request?

I did. My post meant to say "I can't imagine we were the only 2 people that ever struggled with this", but I got lazy after "imagine".
