I literally downloaded Ironforge yesterday and made this bot in 2 hours but the internet died right after the bot's done

So yeah here's my first Ironforge bot, Plastic 10, it's designed to kill popups by baiting them to pop their spikes early and then smashing the spikes with the hammer/poking their exposed top

Looks cool, although I'm a bit concerned about the safety of that snapper. How long does it survive, as well as the stabilizing arms?

Pl10 is a bit overkill imo. I would downgrade the armour and try and find weight to get a downwards extender w/ black armour plate on the bottom of the robot.

Since having a normal VS makes the bot bounce upwards thus ruining the wedges it might have, does spinning the VS downwards make the bot bounce downwards and making the wedges god-tier ?

Ha, I wish wedges were that simple.
And I recommend some armour for the bottom if this is an anti-popup.

Wanted to make a Drum/Popup hybrid, ended up with it's polar opposite :

The bot has 4 ballasts in it btw so it actually weighs 399.1 kgs.

Other than that is cool, with that kind of setup you could make a beastly hammer/side hammer too.

The drive is 4 Blackbirds with mini-wheels, since yesterday I had no idea how much drive is ideal in Ironforge (unlike in stock where 4 HPZtek is ideal or DSL where 4 NPCFast + Hypnos/2 NPCFast + Overkill is ideal)

Also has 4 ballasts in it.

Holy s*** pistons are insanely powerful in Ironforge, even just one piston with 10 pole spikes can score 5000 damage.

it's too bad that the piston doesn't work very well with the flamethrowers because it's a badass design.

and yeah pokers were buffed. a well needed buff imo

It works better than you'd think, since when pinning an enemy the poker can gut-rip while the flamethrowers soften it up so that if the poker accidentally hits something else it can 1-shot it and go back to gut-ripping.

but as a rule the poker gets the other bot farther away from your chassis which diminishes the efficiency of flamethrowers.

or maybe ironforge flamers shoot farther than DSL ones. idk.

Yeah they go out pretty far, when I was testing the bot the flames would still hit the bot even when i'm pinning them.

ill probably lose, my bot was some weird experimental undercutter thingy that isnt good against wedges and i didn't test much anyway

i like it. little worried about using razors (read: FRAGILE) but seems nice other than it might be flanked pretty easy with that shape and slower drive.

only concerns I can see are it may not be wide enough which could cause bots to slip away and give you slow turning but I doubt it's too major. btw those crushing teeth only do damage on the dark part.

yeah it has normals and the light part doesnt do anything
