Jet struggles at Ironforge

Or Stormwind, either or.

Steel 3 iirc and invertible, first thing I've built. Dunno how strict realism is here, the teeth clip the wheels a bit but not more than you could shorten them imo, only other options are blatantly an issue besides beaters which lift the wheels off the ground. No idea what parts are optimal or anything, good stuff.

looks pretty tight man  :thumbup

only real problem is your battery isn't giving you enough amps to fully power your motors. 2 niftys might be a better bet even if it shortens your battery life a bit.
armor is honestly more important in IF than it is in DSL or stock (since everything has such huge hp), and you've dont a good job on that here. if you ever feel you need a bit more weight to add stuff, i would downgrade to thin minis. But i think it looks like a good bot overall.

Ta for the feedback. The amperage makes sense, I was wondering why the Ztek felt so limp. I wrongly assumed that the black batt provided twice as much everything as the nifty but I see now I misread and it's 10 amps short. Thank god double niftys have the same dimensions as a singular black batt, just swapped them out.

Yeah I noticed that everything seemed to be built like a brickhouse even if the damage seems so ludicrous compared to DSL/stock. Loving the fact that the lighter components allow for more freedom in the lower weight classes though, a lot more room for originality.

I take it all of the armours are deemed worthwhile if your weight allows? Not like DSL where it's pretty much just plastic 1/3 and Ti 1/3 iirc?

They're all equally efficient if i remember. in IF though chassis armor or even bigger chassis aren't a big problem as much since chassis armor got beefed so much. It's dang hard to kill a bot with high armor in this mod.

Tiny chassis' are a hard habit to break after so many years of cubes-with-anchors. Nice to see that empty space isn't always a bad thing anymore though.

In other news, FAST.

Too fast, it sucks. Ti 1. Does decent damage but engaging hyperdrive every time I press W makes it hard to get under anything, or stay in the arena for that matter. Gots to be trying all those motors out though. Dunno how I feel about dual burst popups, it's almost certainly not necessary at MW but it's kinda nice to teleport something to the ceiling when you fire the weapons.

Edit: Kept at it and ended up with this.

Ti 3. Two Die-hards beneath the ballasts, one on each side. Pretty sure it conforms to DSL-S. Has some issues with the DDT's being randomly ripped off even through the wedge although that's always going to happen unless I bring them inside the chassis but then it'd be totally generic; it's pretty much just a bad Enfilad3 as it is. Works well enough though and is pretty wedgy to boot, not to mention dead on 200.

Edit 2: Now with edgy skin.

Man the lower weight classes feel like a whole new game in this conversion, he says building generic pop-ups and VS'.

Tite 5. Not entirely sure of the best weapon set up, still too new to Ironforge, I'm just pretty sure it isn't that. Could probably get more weapons on it with a better set up and drop to Tite 3 or something along with some of the armour panels I put on. I'd have used hexplates as weapon mounts but the blades drag too low and clip the floor then, could probably just raise the anchor tho, maybe.

Didn't expect the perm to be so powerful, absolutely plows everything it gets under.

Edit: Got it.

Dropped to Ti 1 and removed the rear plate to free up weight. Moved the anchor holding the perm up to the maximum height it could go and gained 2 knives out of it. Used my third ballast since even though they don't touch the ground the knives on hexplates were causing the front to freak out; now it's back to being stable and wedgy. Dead on weight limit again also, gotta love Ironforge for making that easier.

Yeah spin motors are insane in this version. Looks good, I like how the weapon is angled slightly. I worry that the wedges are very close together though.
