i have read allot of topics about this but i stil don't have the answer to the problem

i have the downloaded ra2
i tried dsl cd version and downloaded version and it wont work

o btw i used a fresh ra2

so plz help me

did you install RA2 v. 1.2 patch?

every thime someone has this issue there is the same solution.

you need to put the downloded file to a temp directory.Then you drag it to your ra2 folder. :lol:

Ya i think goose is right... the reason for this problem is when you extract the files , some are read only and there a a couple of files that does not get written over because it's read only.
So installing DSL to a new dir you can be sure all files get extracted and then move them by hand in explorer.
Also make sure if you make a mistake you do like you said you did.. that is start fresh, if you try the downloaded version then over that put the cd version there will be old files from the other version left and it will be screwed up.
GL if it still does not work give us a little more info.

he tried BOTH dsl versions..........

well, its pretty damn hard to read the way he words it,
the best way is to use "BOTH the", that phase does not make full sense, I tend to confuse things when incorrect functional grammar is used

I.E.: i tried sheep -or- i tried raising sheep
the guy probably left the mod already anyway

well if he tried both v ersion i hope he did a fresh install each time because if he put the wrong one in the tried the right one in the same game it's still screwed up. a Freash install needs to be done EVERY time you try again.

I have same problems as thread starter
what i have tried is 1: installing RA2 and then patch it to 1.20
2: extracted the 1.0 dsl mod to a fresh dir
3: copy everything from the dsl dir to RA2 folder and clicked overwrite on all files.

CanÂ´t try to use the dsl 1.2 file cause the link isnt working (?)

The link is working, but you have to install DSL 1 for DSL 1.2 to work.
