On this website, there are a few ways to fix that. On the main page, click on "downloads", then click on "Patches", and the List will be as follows: Robot Arena v1.3, Robot Arena v1.2, NO CD Patch v1.2, NO CD Patch v1.0, Bigger Max Sphere.
To fix (if your game is just like it was when you bought it, no changes) You can download "NO CD Patch 1.0", which makes the game not need a CD, or "Robot Arena v1.3", which makes it so you don't need the CD, and fixes a few glitches.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

You need to completely uninstall then reinstall from your hard drive with an iso program that will extract the files to your desktop (or whatev) then 1.3 patch it.

Okay, I feel stupid but I just downloaded an .iso as well, I extracted it and installed the game just fine, but I'm having the same problem as this guy here. (I tried the patches) It works fine up to the point where I either try to go to any team HQ or start a match in Exhibition... then it freezes and I have to quit out. If anybody has any idea at all what to do it or what is causing this it would be appreciated, It could just be stupid vista though.

I have an iso too. The game works fine, as the multiplayer option (it still lags to death) and the patch. Just some minor problems.

I can't play the game at all though, It just freezes and I have to CTRL-ALT-Delete to get out of the game. I have tried to mess with some files, but that doesn't seem to fix anything... :(
