GMF Compiler Help
« on: January 03, 2010, 04:30:42 PM »
I tried to reskin the DSL drum, but when I tried to recompile the GMF it said there was an "invalid procedure call or argument". This has never happened before.

Help please?

It could be because the DSL drum uses a reflection map, which isn't supported by Megabyte's compiler.  Or by Serge's, although his does a lot of other stuff that Dummy's doesn't.

To do reflection maps you need the Dummy's compiler modified by Firebeetle here: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/robotarena.htm

Or you can just get rid of the reflection map, since you're reskinning it anyway.  You can try to delete the material with the reflection map but it might be easier to just copy/paste and overwrite the whole materials section from something simple like a grape crate.

Would be much appreciated...
Input is appreciated. :)

Run-time error 52?  I'm not entirely sure what causes that, but putting the CD in your disk drive usually fixes it.

If you don't have the CD, then you're screwed.  You'll have to just get rid of the reflection map and then use Serge's compiler to compile it with a regular skin.

Yea, someone should fix that glitch. It's a huge downer. I was able to avoid it by installing RA2 on the main directory where it's supposed to be. (Previously, all of my RA2's were on the desktop.)

You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.
