Help Me!
« on: July 04, 2010, 11:25:36 AM »
I was working on a bot in my DSL when the music suddenly got really skippy and the whole game started acting slower. I went in to the garage to save the bot and then closed, although after clicking quit I had to power my computer down because the game was frozen.I  have always had it fullscreen when it opens. Now when I click into it, it pops up as its own window (AKA, not full screen) and gets to the first loading window of my NAR AI screen. It goes nowhere from there, and I have to ctrl+alt+del to get out.

Help?

Copy your Teams folder as a whole. Or you can try locating the bot flile alone. If you know wich team from top to bottom it is in and wich bot slot it is in then, for example your bot is in team #3 from top and its the 3rd bot in the left column you go to Teams folder and go to Team2(Team0 is #1) and find Bot2 and this would be the bot you are looking for.

if you have notepad++ its even easier, I set my .bot files default to open with it, the name of the robots is at the top of the notepad++ file so you just double click and check the name...

but I would say copy your teams folder and robot designs folder, delete/ re-extract the rar (is the more correct term :P) then copy your robot designs and teams folder back into it

Ugh I will not be doing anything anytime soon. The computer is pretty much not working well at all. My mom (the resident computer expert...ish) is trying to system restore the computer from safe mode. X(

If this does not sort out, you can add me to the list of tourney hosts who have been struck by the computer problems bug.
