DSL 2.1 Team HQ Crash

(On Windows 7)

DSL v2.1 crashes when i try to enter the team HQ (i.e selecting a team and trying to enter the next screen). I have reinstalled DSL many times, but it doesn't work. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

(used the right DSL version as I've tried both CD and downloaded version. Also tried using Sage's complete download.)

Where is it installed?

the path of the executable is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Infogrames\DSL

Try putting the folder on your desktop. Sometimes program files screws up the game locating files.

Still doesn't work. It is only DSL though - Stock and Starcore versions are fine.

Sage's complete download ought to work, especially if stock works.  That indicates it is a problem with the installation and not anything to do with your computer.  Did you download it, leave it alone, and run it, or did you paste it over your non-working DSL in Program Files?

I have tried many methods; copying my stock game in a new folder and installing DSL v2.1 in there and also tried running Sage's complete download straight from the extracted folder.

Very weird...
 
Try copying files from your working stock game into your DSL game.  If DSL suddenly starts working at some point, you'll have narrowed down where the problem is.
 
I would start with RA2.cfg or the Teams folder.
