Do Windows 7 and RA2 Not play fair?
« on: February 01, 2011, 01:29:03 PM »
I looked through the pages and couldn't find an issue similar to mine(Maybe I didn't look hard enough)

Anyways. I'm running stock RA2 with patch 1.3 on Windows 7 32 bit

The game runs and plays fine, but for some reason it resets all the options EVERYTIME I launch the game. Resolution, audio settings, etc.

Yeah, but when I go to save it, it seems to only be able to resave into a txt V_V

I had he same problem.

Change the settings one at a time.

*setting changed* go into a battle, then tap out then quit.

Do this for each setting, it should work.
I do those awful YouTube videos.

RA2 and Windows 7 can be used together but its best not to install it into the Program Files folders. Sage's download is merely a fulled patched game (there is nothing special about it). I experience very few OS related issues in RA2 (if anything, it freezes more often).

I put my RA2 folder on the desktop and it works fine, heck always worked fine on Win7.

I think I still prefer XP, because Seven is a bitch on security. Hell, once it made me laugh because of the security system asking for confirmation when I modify the security settings.
