Component Text File Editing
« on: March 20, 2013, 04:47:07 PM »
Couple of questions:

1. Is there any way to change the "power =" or where the text file is, of the Piglet?

2. Is it possible to change the "passthru =" (or if it's something else), so you can move components freely, without it not allowing it to be fitted. Example: Burst motor half inside the chassis and half out.

Thank you.

You don't want to do that, you'll get a major havok explosion when another bot brushes up against the exposed part.  The passthru thing I never figured out, but an easier way to get a component into a tight space is to use BFE'ing to move it around:

Damn, there goes one of my ideas. Cheers for the BFE link, I'll probably never use it, to be honest, as I'm terrible at code editing. Will still take a look.

And cheers Nar, I should've also asked WHERE the file is for the Pig, too.  :gawe:

If you remove the collision mesh entirely, then it shouldn't cause any problems when brushed up against.
