The library was mostly filled with shovelware, and most of the 'good' games feel like the same games from years ago.Examples:New Super Mario Bros. WiiSSBBMario Kart Wii.That's just what I see.

The only redeeming factor IMO is the Virtual Console.
The Wii pretty much sucks. The whole thing is based on a gimmick. Once you get tired of being amazed at how flailing your arms does stuff there really isn't much else to it. Take away the wonder of having motion controls and you realized that the graphics are terrible(1.) and most of the games(2.) are boring at best.Still, gimmicks sell. Thus, the Wii is a huge moneymaker. It's kind of funny how Microsoft and Sony jumped on the bandwagon with motion controls. It's even funnier that Kinect actually turned out to be pretty cool rather than just a useless joke.
also lol at most toxic guy around calling others out on this sh**
My opinion:PC>Xbox=PS3>WiiAlthough I know the Wii is actually more fun for small kids and families.

I mean, many a joke has been made about the meager volume of games for the PS3, but not many about the ridiculous amount of shovel-ware made for the Wii. 90% of the Wii games available are the same repackaged "OMIGAWD MOVING MY CONTROLLER DOES STUFF" crap that's already been released.

1. That's never effected great games before. In addition, the Wii's processing power in terms of graphics is not often apparent with the better games of the system. It may not be as good graphically, but games like Super Mario Galaxy can look better than the common generic brown you can tag to 70% of the PS3's shooters, at least in my opinion.
2. Most is not all. Do you ever plan to own all of the games on any system? No, you buy a few, and there are a few great games on Wii.Your arguments have been used before and are subjective enough to destroy an English Teacher. Come up with one that's original. As for the last bit, don't buy it since there are good games on Wii that aren't shovelware. It's not like you buy some random mini game compilation when there's something vaguely decent like Monster Hunter Tri on a console.
Noodle took all of my reasons and made them better.

Who the would want to play a gritty game as a SWAT team in the middle of Sesame Street? Besides, "70% of the PS3's shooters" doesn't speak for the graphics capability of the system (this goes for the Xbox as well). If you like pixelated, cartoony graphics then that's fine. It doesn't change the fact that both the 360 and the PS3 can do that and more.If I ever see graphics like these generated by a Wii, I will eat my shoes:Quote from: madman3 on October 12, 2011, 01:35:11 PM2. Hell, the fact that the argument keeps recurring so much without being properly put down speaks lengths about it's validity. Plus, you're missing my point. The point was that, minus the shovel-ware and filler games, the Wii's game lineup is very weak. It doesn't mean all the games are shovelware, but it does mean that the good games are few and far between. In addition, most of the good games are made by Nintendo themselves (that being said, a good number of them are games that are reused concepts that have already been beat to death). The Wii's game lineup lacks good shooters and good racing games (two things that could have really taken advantage of the motion controls). Also, and I know I'm gonna get crap for saying this, it lacks more "hardcore" games. Before you argue for the case of "casual" games, do keep in mind there's a much less expensive alternative if you want to play lackluster games for the sake of wasting time.

It does need more hardcore games to make it more relevant to many markets though, I agree, although I think this is partially due to developers thinking the same as many of you think - 'It's a kids console'. It has so much potential for those types of games, when developers like Treyarch (which so many of you hold highly) don't actually work with it at all and just send awful ports. If these guys made something FOR the Wii, I bet it'd blow a lot of people's minds. So IMO it's not the console, it's not the buyers, it's not Nintendo (who have made some sweeet Metroid games on Wii), it's 3rd party developers.Although I'm almost sure that my opinion will be corrected by Nate in a minute.
