Maybe this can help a bit. It sickens me to hear all the 11 year olds going on about Blops all the time.
My above post explains everything about everything.

Yeah, it pisses me off aswell, but screw it, let the general populous continue to dumb down, they have only themselves when people like me (but not me) get into power.

Maybe, but it could lead to more legislations condemning video games.

It should be the parents that decide whether or not little Timmy plays an M-rated game, not the government.

This is complete and utter bullsh*t, and it pisssses me off. My parents know that I'm mature enough to play M-Rated games and watch R-Rated movies, so, it's the damn parents's fault if there little kid starts cursing like a sailor.

I'm a total moralsfag but this is retarded to the maxx!!!
It's up to the parents to decide if it's the right thing for their kids, the government should not need to intervene.

Yeah, I'm tired of hearing about MW2, it pisses me off so much you wouldn't even understand. I'm all for this if it's gonna shut some kids up.

ROFL, my mom bought me Call of Duty: Black Ops for Christmas, so I see no point in this.

Meh... It won't effect me. The games I'm interested in have been out for a decade or more, making them exempt. Plus, at the age of 20, no one can tell me what games I can or cannot play.

This bill isn't going to help.  Those games already have a warning label; it's called an M-rating.  If people are too myopic to see that, they need more than a flashier sign to help them make good decisions.

The thing I don't like about age ratings is that age has no absolute hard and fast undeviating linear bearing on maturity, intelligence, or the ability to understand what's going on in video games. For instance, my girlfriend's brother-in-law is 32, and his day basically consists of sitting around, watching TV, drinking beer, playing XBox, and completely disregarding his two children. I daresay that the majority of members on this forum are more mature and intelligent than that.

Although the parents definitely hold some blame in this situation. More often that not, they're the ones that buy kids the violent video games such as Grand Theft Auto and Call Of Duty. Part of that could be down to particularly whiny children, but they should have the common sense not to give these sorts of games to small children.

I think it is the parents problem IMO.

All M-rated games should have a big flashing LED sign on them that say, "THIS IS FOR ADULTS ONLY SO DON'T BUY THIS YOU 8-YEAR OLD FREAKS!!!!!!!"

The thing I want is evidence that violent games actually impact kids.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D
