I don't think there's anything wrong with creating a two or three player server, people do it all the time.

I have a gamepad but never got around to programming it. This is a good idea.

I use use a PS2 controller trough an USB adapter.

Bot Smasher: Yes, I have Trackmania United Forever, but there is the free version, Trackmania Nations Forever.
