By finding hats, you mean like Drops, right? F2P's got that. Not sure what you mean by freebie promos, but I do have a weapon and I had a hat from having L4D2, and I have a hat for playing Spiral Knights..

I got the achievement for killing someone while rocket jumping by standing outside the gates of dustbowl and taunting with the equalizer (I had the rocket jumper :P). Lols were had.

You get it from the Pyromania update (which also vintage as a bonus) if you turned on TF2 before this Thursday. Otherwise you could get a regular one just like you would with a Ghastly Gibus.

Idk. Are Equalizers naturally spotted with blood? Because I got an Equalizer drop a few days ago, and its axe is covered with blood..

Also, I'm such an Atomizer troll on Doomsday. I can jump from the ground level all the way to the highest part of the nuke and unload my FaN

Got a Name Tag yesterday from a random drop and named my PBPP "Pistol from the west" for no good reason. It is a pretty cool gun though.

Anyway My current playing order:

Scout
Heavy
Pyro
Demoman
Sniper
Soldier
Spy
Engineer
Medic

edit: Is The Escape Plan a decent weapon? That's my latest find :P
