Epic victories in video games
« on: June 12, 2012, 11:47:38 AM »
Post some awesome video game victories here.

For example, on MK7 the other day I was racing online on Piranha Plant Slide. I was 5th at the glider part, final lap, and I got a golden mushroom that allowed me to take the off-road shortcut right at the finish line and win the race. Pure win.

TF2 attack/defence (i think that was badlands) our team was attacking.
i went demo, a medic ubered me at the first point and i destroyed 2 sentries, 2 dispensers, 1 tele and an engie, that point was captured in the first minute.
Then i sticky jumped to the other point an there was no defences, some random pyro destroyed me and gone away. 2 seconds later 3 scouts captured the point. that was the fastest match i ever had with 2 minutes 40 seconds.

My highest Destruction on TF2 is with a Scout.
There was an engie setting up on pl_upward's last section whilst we had just started attacking.
He kept placing a sentry in the same place, I kept destroying it straight away, he was so confused everytime he went to get metal.
This went on until his team were pushed back.
Better than GK since 2009.

I can't remember many off the top of my head at the moment, but I do remember a rather good kill I got on Madman when we were fighting one on one- he was Scout, and I was Soldier.

We'd fought for a little while, and then towards the end of it I rocket-jumped into the air, and then from the air, I blew him up with a second rocket at the apex of my jump   :approve:

Yeah, I'm pretty bad at TF2. I'm pretty bad at most FPS actually.
Still, I managed to get a good victory in CSS in Office where I went on a random streak from worst in the team to killing all the best guys as one tried to snipe me through garage (I was on Counter Terrorists and got a headshot with the M16-lookalike thing), before sneaking up the stairs and killing another dude with a Deagle, before I headed into the projector room and killed their last dude.

I also did pretty good in Battlefront 2 once on Utapau in Instant Action where I had 4 dudes left on my team and the other team had 38. I won the match entirely as sniper.

In Gran Turismo (PSP), I used a Volkswagen Beetle, and went against a Honda S500, a Daihatsu Midget, and a Subaru 360, on a 1-lap race on Circuit de la Sarthe Old. On the high-speed wide last turn, the Honda S500 used the brakes, but I was at full speed, and on  I was in the lead and won by 5 seconds. The Daihatsu Midget got bronze, and the Subaru 360 finished in dead last. Honda S500 was in front of me for most of the race.

I had a 95% complete ratio on Red Dead Redemption first time I completed it, took 3 weeks total game time. I think I can get a couple more percentages so I'm having another run.

Also in Red Dead I got my bounty past $10,000 before the first Seth mission, oh so many possies.

It was Crash Team Racing on the PsOne I was playing. Rocky Mountain Crystal Bonus Round, I had 2 minutes to gather 20 crystals. Timer started at 2:00:00, and I won by getting the last crystal at the exact moment the timer hit 0:00:00. It was quite a few years ago, though, and I didn't have anything to take a picture of my achievement with at the time.

How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

One RallyCross race in Live For Speed...

It was last lap, and I was currently 3rd. The 2 leading cars were 10 seconds in front of me. When I arrived to last corner, both drivers were spun, I overtook them and won the race. I felt like a boss :gawe:

I will just have a little list of Street Fighter IV ones now, I didn't win the game in all them, but I did win the round...although these may just count as epic stunts. In one game, I was playing as Ibuki against Ryu, managed to do an EX Hien (essentially just jump across the screen and land on their head), which he blocked, I then used a Neckbreaker upon landing which won me the round. Then, in the same game, I just about managed to jump literally just as he used Metsu Hadouken (resulted in one of the awesome slow motion moments), I then went on to win the round (it was a three round game, he had already owned me in the previous two rounds, so I thought I did well to come back from it).

In a match where I was playing as Vega against Ken (one of the Shoryuken spamming ones), there was one point where he spammed Shoryuken, and I spammed Vega's dodging move (the one where you press all punches), and we ended up going across the whole screen like that (although I was doomed to lose in the end, but at least I won that match by hitting him with a Scarlet Terror and a Splendid Claw).

Then there was another me playing as Vega against a Shoryuken spamming Ken that had set rounds to one and time to 30 seconds. He got me to half health, I used Flying Barcelona Attack to Izuna Drop, hit him with Splendid Claw, and then hit him with a Cosmic Heel just before the time ended, meaning that his health was just below mine.

Actually, pretty much every time I win in Street Fighter is an epic victory because the battles usually take quite a while and end up being really close, although I doubt I will forget that one against the B rank Vega, those were some epic losses until the last one where I actually won. And to get any more examples, I would have to watch saved replays.

In Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I killed two characters at once, the opponent called in their assist (Super Skrull), as Dante, I did a lot of stuff I can't remember, followed by Jackpot. Super Skrull almost survived it, but then the last shot was fired (I had actually forgotten about the final shot).

In Metal Gear Solid 3D, I beat The Fear by depleting his stamina without taking any damage myself (but I doubt that is too much of an achievement).

Defeating Orn on Shinobi 3DS, mainly because I used the Earth Jutsu (essentially makes you powerful, fast, and invulnerable for however long, but makes you have only one block of health and no kunai when it finishes). He was on his third phase, so I used it, he summoned two minions which I killed, I got one hit on him, he summoned two more minions, then I depleted the last half of his health bar, as I made the last hit, the jutsu ended, and my health was at one block.

On Skyrim, I was battling Krosis, I used Fus-Ro-Dah which threw him onto the mountain slope, I then ran at him with Mehrune's Razor, and repetitively slashed him, we were both sliding down the mountain and attacking each other, then, the moment that we both reached the bottom, Mehrune's Razor's insta-kill chance took effect. I just thought that fighting whilst sliding down a mountain was epic.

Unfortunately, I can't remember any of the other awesome things that have happened to me in games, but oh well, I am sure they will come to me at some point.
Yes that sequence of words I just said made perfect sense.

Taking out David Coulthard on Eau Rogue (ridiculous fast uphill chicane) and watching his puny car flip into the air and wheels scatter among the track.

That just reminds me of the time on Gran Turismo 1 where me and the guy who used to be my stepdad were playing multiplayer, and I crashed into a corner at exactly the right angle to end up jumping over his car and going on to win the race.
