I was talking about something like this with my friend earlier. You can compare the other two consoles on the market, but the Wii is in a different category almost. It doesn't live up to the standards that the others have brought (I'm not saying it's bad, it's just different).

One cannot deny the amount of influence the Wii has put on the gaming industry.

I'm inclined to agree with Natef here. PS3 and the Xbox 360 are basically in direct conflict, but the Wii has got the family and somewhat games market cornered. PS3 and 360 are more aimed at hardcore gamers, when you consider the titles that appear on them, such as Halo, Call Of Duty, Gran Turismo 5, things like that. The Wii has a much greater proportion of 3+ Games, such as Zelda, Mario, a couple of Sonic ones, alongside most of the Nintendo favourites, giving a more open market for it. And they have the Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Wii Fit in their corner as well. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are both excellent games consoles, but the Wii is an excellent entertainment console.

Bad:
Games being released to PS3 and Xbox 360, but not the Wii. I mean, come on Capcom! What is the problem with releasing Super Street Fighter 4 on Wii?

The 3DS proved that it could run it effectively, so why not?
There is lots of games made for the Wii but not the Xbox 360 and PS3

Mario, Zelda, Pokemon...not the sort of franchises I'd expect on the 360 or PS3. Then you've got the games that rely on the motion sensing of the Wiimote/Nunchuck to play, and the Wii Fit games as well. Wii already has an excellent variety of games to choose from. Maybe your absolute favourite title isn't in there, but you're bound to find something similar. Unless you have a penchant for running around aimlessly shooting stuff, then you've probably picked the wrong console.

You've got to look at it from a business sense.  The vdeogame companies pay big bucks for the exclusive rights to video games.  And to a dev, that's a lot more important than pleasing people who picked the wrong system.

I'd love to see Psychonauts or Katamari Damacy on a Nintendo console, but sadly that probably won't happen.
