« on: September 26, 2011, 02:18:30 AM »
The title says it all
I can think of some but I'll do my full when I get back.

A few I can think of.

Me and my Katamari
Zelda: Sprit Tracks
The World Ends with you
RA2
Smash Bros Brawl
Pokemon SoulSliver
Lego Alpha Team
Deus Ex: Human Revolution

So what is yours. ( This requires a big think that is why I put 15)

No, he's pretty sane

1) Trickster Online
As the game I spend the most time playing, I'd be insane not to have this as my #1 favourite. It may be an MMO, but with pets as sexy as Admiral Skulley, it got addicting pretty quickly. Plus there's always the events to look out for
2) Touhou 12.3 Hisutensoku
Soliek, I play this one on my QNX when everyone else is asleep. Much fun can be had beating the cr*p out of people with a severely underpowered character
3) Luminous Arc series
These are what got me into TatRPGs <3
Though a bit soppy and lovey at times, Luminous Arc is, for me, a constant source of inspiration and a game that I can spend hours playing and having fun doing so
4) Golden Sun series
Gotta love this series. Sure, the battle system's a bit basic, and the stories are kind cliche, but the characters are awesome and the Psynergy aspect is so unique it makes the entire game worthwhile
5) Pokemon Black
   N <3
   That is all

The rest will come in bursts :p

1. Metroid Fusion (enjoyed a Metroid game which felt lonely but without you getting lost all the time)

2. Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic (quite simply the king of western RPGs, the gameplay is magnificent, but it tends to glitch)

3. Phoenix Wright [any of the original three games] (All in the plot. Nice to find a game that uses thinking and questioning and obeservance)

4. Metroid Prime 2 (Oh, it's difficult. But it's much more fun than three and has more direction than 1)

5. Worms: World Party (Super customizable worms game. Fun, easiest to play, simple and great fun with some friends)

6. Mass Effect 2 (Like KOTOR but more of a shooter and slightly less broad in its scope. Areas are somewhat smaller and the subquests are less relevant, but the gameplay still rocks)

7. Paper Mario (Fun as. Charming)

8. Star Wars: Tie Fighter (Ancient game that is truly awesome. Good graphics, realistic combat, great training mode).

9. Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (It's better than OoC because it has more direction and has some fantastic bosses and dungeons later on in the game. Final boss isn't great but it's still a very fun game).

10. Lylat Wars (King of space shooters. Fun, easy to pick up and play, and far from linear)

15. Tony Hawks Underground 2 Remix: The second best skateboarding game because of the amount of locations

14. Me & My Katamari: The most unique game I've played.

13. Skate 3: Great music, class physics and cool tricks.

12. Red Steel 2: Great graphics, fun style and challenging.

11. 42 All time classics: Great game I bought for £15 and love beating the computer in Last Card, Chinese Checkers and Othecko.

10. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn: One of the most interesting storylines in a game, Top-class battle music and easy to get in if you don't know the storyline of the first two games.

9. Free Running: I did'nt know acting like a chimp that can do backflips in South London would be this much fun.

8. Burnout Paradise: Just alot of fun. Its like an open world, driver-in-the-car version of RA2.

7. Zelda: Spirt Tracks: So fun and good challenge. I'd say the second `most-different` storyline after Majoras Mask.

6. RA2 (Both Stock and DSL): Of course it is on this list thats why I am here. Anyways the closest thing you can get to a great robot combat game.

5. Pokemon Black/SoulSilver: Amazing games so added them as one on the list. In total spent about 500 hours playing and got 600 Pokemon on my Pokedex while 300 Pokemon captured across 3 saves.

4. Super Mario 64 DS: This game started it all on my DS. Took 2 years to complete and this game has one of my best achievements :
Getting 120 stars without using the ? Block.

3. Smash Bros Brawl: Loved it because of everything. Storyline, Stages, Characters, Music. Stunning.

2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Great game because of stealth, Killing everyone in Detroit (What!?) How much the effects have if something happens, The list goes on.

1.
Why!? Amazing Storyline ,great graphics, cool battle system, Great Characters, Top Class setting. And of Course Amazing Music like this Song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x-AcStjvPE&feature=player_detailpage#

1 - Slaves to Armok : God of Blood : Dwarf Fortress - Because it's complexity is just incredibly awesome, and it's simply the best gameplay I have ever seen. The graphics are ugly OK, i don't really want my town to look like a glorified bunch of colored ASCII characters, but it can look decent with a tileset. And gameplay is king.

2 - Baldur's Gate II : Throne of Bhaal - Easily one of the best RPG's ever made. Also you can multiclass easily in AD&D, and Sarevok is just badass.

3 - Worms World Party - A more customizable Worms Armageddon. And WA is a legend. It blends action, strategy and hilarity in an awesome mix.

4 - Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri - One of the best strategy games ever. Spiritual, philosophical, and complex. Also no Techno Babble tech or slightly ridiculous weapons.

5 - Robot Arena 2 : Design and Destroy - You can build really badass things or just plain cool bots. It's also very moddable.

6 - Planescape : Torment - One of the most, if not THE most, original RPG's ever. No more classic quest where you start by killing rats and end with saving the world. No more knights in shining armor. It's deep, philosophical and the high level mage spells are just awesome.

7 - Heroes of Might and Magic IV - A blend of RPG and strategy, my two favorite game types.

8 - Dungeon Crawl : Stone Soup - The customization of your character is really deep and interesting, if only it wasn't Nintendo Hard...

9 - Age of Empires 2 - Another legend, that I played for many years. It's just rather old now.

10 - Rise of Nations : Rise of Legends - While not incredibly original compared to it's predecessor, it's just plain reliance on the RULE OF COOL makes it good. Giant fire breathing lizards ! Dragons ! Moar dragons ! Giant glass golems ! Humongous Magitek Stone Mecha Giants ! Humongous magical citadels made of rock and runes and energy throwing lightning ! Steampunk clockwork tanks and Da Vinci-like fliers battling over epic landscapes !

15. Gradius Galaxies - All the fun and hair-pulling difficulty of Gradius in handheld form!
14. Mortal Kombat 2 - I'm absolutly terrible at fighting games, but I love playing this game.
13. Donkey Kong (Game Boy) - Hard as heck, but insanely addictive.
12. Mario Kart 64 - Yeah! The N64 had the best in every franchise!
11. WWF No Mercy - Still the best wrestling game out there.  The N64 wrestling games were the best.
10. Resident Evil 2 – I probably stand in a severe minority that prefers the old style of RE games to the newer ones (namely 4). It very effectively delivers the chilling, tense atmosphere that any good RE game does, though this game does it the best for me.
9. The Godfather: The Game – I never really got into the GTA series and I'm sure I could get all kinds of arguments about how they're "better" games, but whatever. This is another case of flip/flop with the sequel. The sequel did a lot of cool things as well, but it was also a much easier game.
8. Portal 2- An amazing game in all respects. The gameplay is great. The story and characters are awesome. Just can't say enough good about this game.
7. Pokemon Gold – It was tough to pick between this and Red version. I'll give this one the edge since it has a longer story mode, a bunch of good new features like the "real time clock" aspect, much cleaner visual (a bonus for being in color), and a much improved inventory system. In fairness I still mostly used the orginal 151 pokemon over the new ones introduced in this series.
6. Metal Gear Solid 4 – Visually it’s almost unparalleled and you can always expect a deep, rich story from a Metal Gear game.
5. Mass Effect 2 – Both games in the series are great, but now I can look back and say that 2 is better than the first overall. The story is highly immersive, and the replay value is off the charts. Mass Effect 3 can't get here soon enough.
4. Grim Fandango – One of the only games I’ve purchased based solely on my experiences playing the demo. It’s a highly under-appreciated and underexposed game. It has one of the best written stories I’ve ever come across in games I’ve played.
3. Halo: Combat Evolved – Still the most well done shooter (first or third) I’ve ever played. I pick the original because I feel it had the best campaign mode, especially when playing Co-op.
2. Super Mario 64 – It’s tough picking just one Mario game over all the others. Maybe I lean more towards it since I never owned a NES or SNES, and the fact that the N64 is probably the greatest system of all time. This game still holds up as well as it did when it first came out.
1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles – Why aren’t more platformers made today? Hell why aren’t more good Sonic games made anymore. Unleashed was fun, but Sonic's never really been the same since leaving 2-D. Anyway this is still an amazingly fun game even over 15 years later.

In no particular order:

15: Codename: Iceman  -  One of the first games that I got for my 286 computer.  16 bit graphics, guns, car chases, great plot.
14: City Connection  -  By far my most favorite game that I had on my Nintendo Entertainment System
13: Sonic the Hedgehog - Sega was king then, and Sonic wore the crown. It was so insanely groundbreaking back then.
12: Dungeons and Dragons Pool of Radiance - Squeeeeeee! I was able to change the color of my 8 bit character!  (this was a big deal then)
11: Sewer Shark - By today's standards... the game is awful.  But it was incredibly fun back then (Sega CD btw)
10: Twisted Metal 2 - Still the best in the franchise
9: Wipeout - Got me hooked on Techno Music... have not looked back since.
8: Mechwarrior 2 - Best Soundtrack ever... ground breaking gameplay... insane action that made me sweat bullets. <3 <3 <3
7: Mission Force Cyberstorm - Not as good as Mechwarrior 2... but excellent strategic turn-based gameplay.
6: Soul Calibur - If I wasn't in my dorm room at college, I was at the pool hall kicking ass and wasting quarters.
7: Diablo - If I wasn't at the pool hall kicking ass... I was in my dorm room playing Diablo flunking out of college.
6: Worms - <3
5: Scorched Earth - Like worms but less cute.  scratch that... Guild Wars deserves to be on my list. I was playing that RPG for 3 solid years... still pop on from time to time as well.
4: Gran Turismo 4 - I think I lost 1/2 a year of my life playing this...
3: Robot Arena 2 - Still the best after all these years. <3 <3 <3
2: Full Throttle - I worship this game.  If you never play it... at least watch the walkthrough on youtube.  It's just as much fun to watch as it is to play.
1: Flat Out 2 - I can't say enough how much I WORSHIP this game in every way.  The characters, environments, gameplay, soundtrack.... etc etc etc.  There has never been a game that has pulled me in and slapped me around like crazy so much.  I loved every frickin minute of this game from start to finish.

1: Doom Series - Just because
2: Sonic the hedgehog - Just an all time legend, and one of the games I started off playing 9along with doom)
3. Kirby: Come on, its kirby!
4. Worms: Worms was always one of my favorite games to play, just an all out blast
5. MapleStory. Never truly been able to leave this game alone. Loads of stuff to do, heaps of new things put it, and free to play as well :D
6. Pokemon series - Still play it, as always
7. Dead Island - Best mold of rpg and zombies ever. EVER
8. Sacred 2 - Best sp rpg I have ever played. HUGE map, and very fun to play
9. Aion. - much greater than WoW (in my opinion), a lot more fun and better BGM, if only you didnt have to pay to play
10 Age of empires/mythology/DoW/ Starcraft 2/The settlers - Basically a lot of RTS games, I can't choose between them
11 Amnesia: The dark descent - 2 words, SCARY, HILARIOUS. Heaps of fun, but heart racing and funny to play with friends
12 FEAR series - Great set of games, and even though the 3rd one doesnt have much scares, great combat system
13. Motorsiege, Warriors of primetime - Probably havn't heard of it, only ever seen it on the ps2, but great vehicle combat game, good fun
14. Ratchet and Clank series - just cause
15. Jak and Dexter series - Just cause too

15. Champions Online
I only had F2P, but it is a fun game with a great character creator. Only problem (apart from premium) is it gets pretty repetitive after a while.

14. Trackmania (United Forever)
Very good racing game, and you can get it for cheap if you buy it on amazon or something. The track creator is great and it has good graphics for 2006.

13. Garry's Mod
You know what it is.

12. Minecraft
You know what this is too.

11. EVE Online
At first glance this game looks like a big snooze, and I'm sure it is for some people. But I love this game. Okay, I only had the two week trial, but I still got a pretty good feel for the game. The only real problem is it takes forever to play it, and you can lose pretty much everything you've made in the game to some random pirate. But still, good game.

10. Sonic CD
Nostalgia-fest.

9. Combat flight simulator ('98)/Warbirds III
I went through a major airplane fad (still like em) when I was a little kid and these games were a dream some true. I got CFS a few years before WB3 so I played that a lot more, but WB3 is better. You get to play as pretty much any of a bazillion WWII planes, and they're pretty realistic. WB3 even had tanks and stuff too.

8. Civilization (3, PTW, 4, 5)
I play them on and off, they're good strategy games. I rarely have enough patience to finish a full game though.

7. SSB (M/B)
You know this too.

6. F-Zero GX
Got this very recently compared to the others, but it deserves a spot on this list. This game is one of the best racers ever IMO. Very underrated.

5. Lego Stunt Rally
Hands down the most played game I've done. I got this in first grade for $7 and I played it for two years straight. It's a racer, really not too great but it's got a track editor and I loved it and still do. If this game was about nostalgia it'd be number two (right behind the #1 on this list).

4. RA2
Hey I can't come up with anything anymore, but I still like it. Whenever random people play games on the PC with me in my house I always waste them on RA2. >:D

3. Rollercoaster Tycoon (1, 3)
I played RCT1 forever when I was in 3rd grade or so. I didn't really get the finaces or anything but I had fun. :P RCT3 is OK.

2. Lego Racers 2
YEAAAAAAAH I still love this game and STILL PLAY IT
Arctic & Dino Island FTW

1. POD (AKA Planet of Death)
My overall favorite game ever through the ages. I went through a POD drought when I couldn't install it on modern PCs but recently I found some dude with a great tutorial and I got it working on my XP!
It's a racer, and really good. It's not too fast, but the graphic style is awesome (really good for '97) and the cars are sweeeeet. Also nostalgia. If you can find this thing on amazon or something or if you already have it, look up "Holger's Pod Info" and "POD Phreak" and you can get it running in a snap, with every car and track as a bonus! Cheers.
