Well, I am pretty sure the weapon DOES cut through that perm belt...

How? Only the drum with beaters are attached to the perm. Aluminum Extenders and the // Beaters are static.

Actually Jonzu is correct, the Perm is only powering the drum. The extenders are attached to the chassis, as is explained below:

EDIT:

Swapped for Titanium 1.

Thanks! Only thing is it flips out when I try to drive straight. Anyone see why? I can't figure it out.

Also gonna try to build some sort of big-ass clusterf*** IRL bot in DSL 3 to test out the game. I'll post the results, but it won't be a serious bot.

EDIT:

GENTLEMEN.

I bring you the non-serious DSL 3 bot I was referring to!

Titanium 3, Vlad wheels

That mystery device in the back is a cutting tooth. I put it there to stop it from getting too far under other bots.

DP:

Another DSL 3 bot here. IRL, 5mm Titanium or Aluminum, can't remember which. Not really a serious bot, but I'll take suggestions.

Sacrifice reinforced perms for regular perms since they aren't very exposed, and get NPCs. Sacrifice a bit of armour if you need to. Those wheels suck too, get different ones. Are those large beater bars?
Oh I'll be doing some banging.......

I don't think NPCs will fit, but I'll see what I can do. Those bars are mediums. I didn't like the way large ones looked. I mostly just built it for the look, actually. Same reason I used the reinforced Perms.

Actually, the reason it should be sacrificed would be because the Perms are directly attached to the baseplate, meaning they cannot be taken off.

Yes, but a hit to a regular perm would degrade the power more than a reinforced perm. Still because the belts aren't very far out, they aren't exposed. And you should use Larges.

I know I should. I just didn't feel like it. Like I said, this bot ain't serious. I built it for fun.

EDIT: That said, I think I will do a proper one, with a better skin.

I like the look of it, the hinged wedge doesn't really fit the look though, nobody would put a hinged wedge on a drum irl anyway because it would hit the drum if something got under it.

This is true. It seems to get in the way when I test it, too. I'll take it off and add more bars or something.

battery choice = derp

the wedge is ugly, to put it plainly. and probably will fail as well. Get rid of it.

Considering the judge burst flipper faggotry is at it's strongest in IRL you need to be invertible, or at least srimech.

More armor on the front, less on the sides and rear. You are more than fast enough to keep your front towards the enemy.

Poorly done extender work. Clean it up and make it simpler, lighter and stronger.

Instead of front armor you could put frontal weapons, for extra hybrid coolness and you'll suffer less from your low weapon weight.

Also, about the skin (Having a well skinned bot is preferable unless you're like ty4er who cannot skin at all and covers his bots in shell panels and flippermakers (lelelele)), I see what you were going for but... I dunno. I think it could have a better skin, I'm just not sure how.

Yeah I definitely agree, skin is far too basic for the bot.

I mean you don't need to spend a half hour just to skin a bot but you can do a perfectly good skin in 10 minutes.

Photoshop/Gimp is your friend.

Yes, I am planning on giving it a better skin once this computer has Gimp. See, I'm temporarily restricted to using my brother's guest workstation. He doesn't want me downloading programs on it. He said he'll do it himself at some point.

EDIT: Doubled drum width, added srimech and put on better Lexan placement. Now has Aluminum 3.
