Unique mashine!
« on: November 05, 2006, 03:16:58 PM »
This is my little turtle :)
The bot is balanced to AI bots(DSL 1.2), doesn't make grate damage, easy  to beat/tap. But nothing ever gets underneath those spikes and teeth have  gripping quality, so if someone gets on them, stays panted in between!

Woow Shiishh Dude!!    That is totally stunning. Wow. That is so unbelievable! That is totally amazingly stunning design. So cool and everything.

I wouldn't have ever figured out to do that kind of design. That must be quite good defence after all.

...But why you did a new topic for your new bot?... Why you just didn't use the old one?

Well yeah. It is a new bot but think if I would have made everytime new topic when I would have made a new bot...

It would be much better if you posted all your bots to the same folder.

Easily one of the cooler-looking bots likely to appear in the tourney.

I like the Turtle too.  It looks sort of buggish.  Reminds me of some of Korium9's bots, with that shell on it.

DUDE! You really have original ideas. Even I don't have that kind of ideas. AND above that all your bots LOOK GREAT. My bots are just original but they don't look much. Your bots are really originals and they also look very cool.

Keep doing them. Wow.    :D

Upgrade...
I encountered some flip-over problems, and this is what i thought out:
These arms could get him out of any trouble! They make him flip over or jump, but theres another problem: I've wired the 'srimech' button to the wheels too, so when the bot uses it, it doesn't stop the motors and just runes forward :(
Anyone has an idea, to fix it?
Kingdom for an idea!!!

Clickbeetle:
I'll finish this one with wiring and ship it over to you, i still got one more time to change my entry ;)

Umm... You just select the button where you wired things in a wrong way. Then click the thing which shouldn't be wired. And then... You click none in the thing's wiring box and so it isn't wired any more to that button.

Seriously   ...  :P

really??....
Did you get the question, or are you just being a smart-ass?
The wheels should be wired, that's the hole point.
I just asked, how to fix that stupid bug :(

Intresting idea but worthless if its put up with a fullbody spinner.  Im sure there will be one or two of those in the contest.  Thats the problem with contest though.  You have no idea what you up aginst.  im still no sure on a design yea.  Im still testing out ideas.  Im starting to think about throwing a old bot that I never showed.

But.... I do not care, whether i win or not :)
Competition is not about winning, and if my bot doesn't win, I'll still like it. I've made a bot, that represents me and my side on the tournament and i don't care  if it's not invincible or indestructible!
BTW, does anyone know, will the tournament be recorded? I would like to see one of my robot's games :)

Yes the tournament will be recoreded and then posted here. If I remember right once again, there will be new battle every day. Or something like that. So you're better not to forget visit these sites every day and download the newest battle.

And about the wiring. I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass, but that is so simple problem. Just throw two analog sticks for the drive and a button for the popups in your bot. Then wire the wheels to the analog sticks and then wire the popups to the button. Shouldn't cause any errors.

Do you think, I'm that dumb?
The wheels should be wired to "srimech", it's the bug in the AI code I'm talking about.

Oh well. Then I don't know what to do.

It's o.k., I've figured it out already!
I've extended the arms and added a little push from weapons, this way i don't have to wire the wheels.
Only one problem left... It's 1mm plastic and weighs 740kg .... :(
