now if only the boomers would remember past correctly, as in hydro posted all of those in a row in the same topic, meanwhile kiddelta is just going full dutch east indies spice trading and posting the same reply all over the forum. time to hit that like button and subscribe

lest we forget that also he nonstop spammed about how much he loved cheese in literally every post for like a solid 6mo to the point where half the users put mousetraps in their sigs

No, it's really not. Spamming "Spicy" in every showcase means he reacts the same in every showcase, so at this point it's not even related to the bots or the content in the showcase. It gets old, it has no real value to the builder, it is repetitive, and it is extremely low effort. Hence : Spam.

I however do agree with you that this off-topic has lasted long enough. I too apologize for the off-topic. But if no one reacts, the spam will continue.

IMO Missing Link would be better with a defined lower jaw and lower set of teeth. as in, more spike strips and extender work to create the impression of one.

as for zealot, I think it would also benefit from some sort of axle bearing on the sheet next to the drum. right now it kinda looks like the drum's axle is floating, from this side at least.

I always thought Delta's comments was simply harmless.  Nuff said.

Anyway, New Zealot looks quite solid, I never did like the original's variant with the teeth, mainly cause of how they were placed.  Beaters seem nicely fit, but I almost would love to see some color added to it.  It's mainly the basic drum skin always looked ugly and I can never get over that.

I did try making the drum coloured at one point, but I thought it looked weird. I agree that the texture of the default drum is weird with those odd lines on it, but I quite like the colour of it

Some changes. Added an axle for the weapon per Naryar's comment, swapped to a much more effective wedge setup, and swapped to a black drum which I don't think looks too awful considering the wheels are also black. I tried both gold and marine grey drums to match the rest of the bot but they both looked weird

Not a fan of how the beaters are attached, but otherwise, it does look spicy

I updated an incredibly old bot for some reason. Cascade was one of the first extenderbots I ever made, and also one of the first bots I was truly proud of. It was well received at the time and I finally decided to do an update. Did my best to keep the essence of the old one while bringing it in line with my current build standards by having sh** actually fit together properly rather than having gaps everywhere. Fairly happy with it.

I mean it's purely a visual thing to make the bot look better. Can easily be ditched if someone has an issue with it.

But then having no piston may be less realistic if anything so swings and roundabouts innit

I've never seen anyone have an issue with this type of thing for what it's worth

That makes sense. Can I get away with stuff like that when entering IRL tournaments?
