Heck, you didn't even design them

the crossed weapon design with Skirt Hinges (which I specified) was my original concept to create a larger area of contact (see Lo-Road and T-Road IV)

this robot of SKBT's doesnt quite use it to that effect but I imagine it would also help with the weapons not touching the ground..

Nice, more fodder for my entry.

Riiiight. Trying to get past the sheets while your teeth take a beating from the razors won't give you much of a chance to get to its wheels.

Silly Pwn. Thanks to the shape of the BSG's, it's unlikely that he'll get to the chassis. Besides, my teeth clamp from the sides, so unless he deliberately goes for the side due to AI'ing, he'll walk right into my trap, and his chassis will be all mine.

Silly FOTEPX. Clearly my simple English statement is too much for your cocky attitude. I never said that his bot would beat yours. I was just attacking your statement that your bot will easily finish him off.

Seriously. Did you even analyze the situation? Take note of your bot's attack radii. Take note of his chassis size. Also, take note of the components protecting his chassis and wheels. Initial rushes would be a bore for both bots because the rammer can't take out your BSGs immediately, and your weapons would just hit the sheets and/or razors. There will come a time that excessive ramming would cause your bursts to slow down, and there will come a time that his sheets and outer razors will come off, exposing the nomnoms, which means your bot has a high chance to win when both bots face each other. But a quick match? Pffft.

But why the crossed rammer design ?

The crossed rammer design looks cooler than the normal rammer design.  The reason that the razors aren't  fully crossed like T-Road is the part of skirt hinges that creates Narmor lifts the front of the bot off the ground.

Even though he's wrong. =P

If you did just edge the narmour up a little bit, it'd lift the front of the bot off the ground, and keep the weapons off the ground. Unless it'd tilt forward with the weight of all those RAZORS.

Well, not really, but if you think that, Reier, thanks for a morale boost. Now, if ya don't mind, i'm gonna go and take advantage of the carp collision detection in DSL and make a random, unesscessary, clearly cheating hs monstrocity!  :gawe:

I am surprised THIS use of narmor is NOT getting whacked on...

Anyways, this is SKBT's showcase, not SM's. Hence you may not go off topic on that one.

There isn't any narmor. The part that creates it is mostly inside the cube. It's why the razors aren't fully crossed.

It's not made on purpose, but there definitely is some part of the skirt hinge's collision mesh defending the chassis. And making your bot more stable.

if its entered in CCIV the collision wont do anything as I stated in the rules, it will use my fixed collision skirt hinge

So the collision mesh is now just the small black, visible part ?

Well... That can still be made narmor ! Muhahahahahahahahahah !

I am pretty sure the Narmour part is there to stop havok so removing just that would cause problems

anyway back on topic now..

1/2 sheets are not good as they have low HP compared to other skirts.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Erm, i'd swap the half sheet on the wedge for DSL bars.
Other than that, it looks cool

wedges on MB dont need to be that long. when you swap them for DSL bars just use 20-80s at the most. also might be better if you drop 1 drum off each side and add top and back armor. just a thought. looks great.
Holy crap they do exist!!!! :Rob2
